2016 EAST REGIONAL DIVISIONAL TOURNAMENT
Check In
We would like all teams to check in at the press box at Young Field at least 1 hour prior to your first
game.
Pitcher Eligibility
We will have a running list of inning pitched posted at the press box in case anyone has any questions.
We would like each coach to stop up at the press box at the conclusion of each game to verify innings
pitched for your team.
Coin Flip
Home team will be determined by seed in the first round. First Round is considered games1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
After first round, team managers need to report to the tournament headquarters 1 hour prior to each game.
Coin flip will take place and line-up cards exchanged
Infield
Home team will take infield first, 30 minutes prior to the start of the game followed by the visiting team.
Infield is only allowed on your first game of the day. Maximum of 7 minutes per team. This may be
shortened or eliminated depending upon time constraints. We will be asking all teams to be ready to take
infield approximately 5-10 minutes after the conclusion of the previous game. Teams should use space
outside of the field to stretch and enter outfield as soon as prior game is over to begin throwing
Batting Cages
Batting cages will be available daily. Teams on the bottom of the bracket will occupy the Young Field
cages. Teams on the top of the bracket will occupy the batting cages at Elmwood (directly north of
Young Field across 13th Ave). Being the host team, West Fargo will occupy the cages at Young Field.
Dugouts
Home team will occupy 3rd base dugout. Visitors will be in 1st base dugout. Being the host team, West
Fargo will occupy 3rd base dugout
Field Rules
Young Field is artificial turf on the infield. Players are allowed to wear metal cleats. No seeds allowed
anywhere within the field. We do ask that all on-deck batters use the on-deck circles while warming up.
Water will be provided for the players in the dugout. Full concessions will also be available. No outside
coolers are allowed in the complex. Please pass this along to parents as well.
Protests
If a manager wishes to protest a play he must notify the umpire before the next pitch is thrown.
