I would like to introduce you to
something that…
“SUPERSEDES the
LOVE of our mothers, the
THREATS of our fathers, the
WISDOM of our grandparents,
and even the STRENGTH of
our own convictions...
Overcoming “Peer Pressure” for
Christians of all ages!
“Social pressure by members of one’s peer
group to take a certain action, adopt
certain values, or otherwise conform in
order to be accepted.”
- Webster
“Pressure from one's peers to behave in a
manner similar or acceptable to them.”
- American Heritage
“You shall not follow a crowd to do evil”
- Exodus 23:2
“My son, if sinners entice you, Do not
consent.”
- Proverbs 1:10
“And do not be conformed to this world…”
- Romans 12:2
“Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but
what is good …”
- III John 11
AARON (Exodus 32:19-24)
19 So it was, as soon as he came near the
camp, that he saw the calf and the
dancing. So Moses' anger became hot, and
he cast the tablets out of his hands and
broke them at the foot of the mountain.
20 Then he took the calf which they had
made, burned it in the fire, and ground it
to powder; and he scattered it on the
water and made the children of Israel
drink it.
21 And Moses said to Aaron, "What
did this people do to you that you
have brought so great a sin upon
them?"
22 So Aaron said, "Do not let the anger of
my lord become hot. You know the
people, that they are set on evil.
23 "For they said to me, 'Make us gods
that shall go before us; as for this Moses,
the man who brought us out of the land
of Egypt, we do not know what has
become of him.'
24 "And I said to them, 'Whoever has
any gold, let them break it off.' So
they gave it to me, and I cast it into
the fire, and this calf came out."
AARON (Exodus 32:19-24)
THE RESULT:
 He tried to blame others for his on
actions!
 He sounded FOOLISH! He LIED!
 He SINNED and had
opportunity for other to sin!

PETER (Matthew 26:69-75)
69 Now Peter sat outside in the
courtyard. And a servant girl came to him,
saying, "You also were with Jesus of
Galilee."
70 But he denied it before them all,
saying, "I do not know what you are
saying."
71 And when he had gone out to the
gateway, another girl saw him and said to
those who were there, "This fellow also was
with Jesus of Nazareth."
72 But again he denied with an oath, "I
do not know the Man!"
73 And a little later those who stood by
came up and said to Peter, "Surely you
also are one of them, for your speech
betrays you."
74 Then he began to curse and swear,
saying, "I do not know the Man!"
Immediately a rooster crowed.
75 And Peter remembered the word of
Jesus who had said to him,
"Before the rooster crows, you will deny
Me three times." So he went out and wept
bitterly.
PETER (Exodus 32:19-24)
THE RESULT:
 He denied Jesus THREE times!
 He CURSED & SWORE!
 He WEPT bitterly!
 He had to LIVE WITH the thought of
his denials!
NOAH (II Peter 2:5; I Peter 3:20; Hebrews
11:7; Genesis 6:5-9, 22)
II Peter 2:5 “… did not spare the ancient
world, but saved Noah, one of eight
people, a preacher of righteousness,
bringing in the flood on the world of the
ungodly;
I Peter 3:20 “… who formerly were
disobedient, when once the Divine
longsuffering waited in the days of Noah,
while the ark was being prepared, in
which a few, that is, eight souls, were
saved through water.
Hebrews 11:7 “By faith Noah, being
divinely warned of things not yet seen,
moved with godly fear, prepared an
ark for the saving of his household, by
which he condemned the world and
became heir of the righteousness which is
according to faith.
Genesis 6:5-9 Then the LORD saw that
the wickedness of man was great in
the earth, and that every intent of the
thoughts of his heart was only evil
continually.
6 And the LORD was sorry that He had
made man on the earth, and He was
grieved in His heart.
7 So the LORD said, "I will destroy man
whom I have created from the face of the
earth, both man and beast, creeping thing
and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I
have made them."
8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of
the LORD.
9 This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah
was a just man, perfect in his
generations. Noah walked with God.
Genesis 6:22 “… Noah did; according to
all that God commanded him, so he did.
NOAH (II Peter 2:5; I Peter 3:20; Hebrews
11:7; Genesis 6:5-9, 22)
THE RESULT:
 Stood by his convictions, which were
based on God’s words.
 Separated himself and his family from
evildoers and temptation.
 Not Afraid To Stand Alone against
the wickedness all around him.
JESUS, GOD’S SON (John 8:55; 7:1-7;
Isaiah 53:1-12)
John 8:55 Yet you have not known Him,
but I know Him. And if I say, 'I do not
know Him,' I shall be a liar like you; but I
do know Him and keep His word.
John 7:1-7 After these things Jesus walked
in Galilee; for He did not want to walk in
Judea, because the Jews sought to kill
Him.
2 Now the Jews' Feast of Tabernacles was
at hand.
3 His brothers therefore said to Him,
"Depart from here and go into Judea, that
Your disciples also may see the works that
You are doing.
4 "For no one does anything in secret
while he himself seeks to be known openly.
If You do these things, show Yourself to the
world."
5 For even His brothers did not
believe in Him.
6 Then Jesus said to them, "My time has
not yet come, but your time is
always ready.
7 "The world cannot hate you, but it
hates Me because I testify of it that
its works are evil.
Isaiah 53:1-12 Who has believed our
report? And to whom has the arm of the
LORD been revealed?
2 For He shall grow up before Him as a
tender plant, And as a root out of dry
ground. He has no form or comeliness;
And when we see Him, There is no
beauty that we should desire Him.
3 He is despised and rejected by
men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted
with grief. And we hid, as it were, our
faces from Him; He was despised, and we
did not esteem Him.
4 Surely He has borne our griefs And
carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him
stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted.
5 But He was wounded for our
transgressions, He was bruised for our
iniquities; The chastisement for our peace
was upon Him, And by His stripes we are
healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; We
have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the LORD has laid on Him the
iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted,
Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led
as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep
before its shearers is silent, So He opened
not His mouth.
8 He was taken from prison and from
judgment, And who will declare His
generation? For He was cut off from the
land of the living; For the transgressions
of My people He was stricken.
9 And they made His grave with the
wicked - But with the rich at His death,
Because He had done no violence, Nor
was any deceit in His mouth.
10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise
Him; He has put Him to grief. When
You make His soul an offering for
sin, He shall see His seed, He shall
prolong His days, And the pleasure of
the LORD shall prosper in His hand.
11 He shall see the labor of His soul, and
be satisfied. By His knowledge My
righteous Servant shall justify many,
For He shall bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore I will divide Him a portion
with the great, And He shall divide
the spoil with the strong, Because He
poured out His soul unto death,
And He was numbered with the
transgressors, And He bore the sin of
many, And made intercession for the
transgressors.
JESUS, GOD’S SON (John 8:55; 7:1-7;
Isaiah 53:1-12)
THE RESULT:
 Stood Up for the WORD of His father,
when others would not!
 Separated from the FAITHLESS who
refused to believe in Him!
 Not Afraid To Stand Alone when
He DIED FOR US!
STAND with Christ,
WEAR His name,
BEAR His burden …
I Peter 4:14-16
14 If you are reproached for the name of
Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of
glory and of God rests upon you. On their
part He is blasphemed, but on your part
He is glorified.
15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer,
a thief, an evildoer, or as a busybody in
other people's matters.
16 Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let
him not be ashamed, but let him glorify
God in this matter.
