Spring time is here and that usually has
people cleaning their homes, offices, cars,
roofs and gutters. It’s a cleaning frenzy out
there! Well, while you’re squeegeeing the
windows and taking out the trash, we want
to remind you that your teeth need
cleaning, too!
Regular dental cleanings will help your
family reach optimal oral care and there’s
no better time than right now to make an
appointment. While you’re on the phone
with your dentist scheduling your next
appointment, take a look at these other
spring cleaning hints that will leave your
teeth sparkling clean.
1. Toss Out Your Tooth Brush: If you
haven’t replaced your toothbrush in some
time, it might be time to get a new one. If
you use an electric toothbrush with
exchangeable heads, make sure you’re
following the
manufacturer’s recommendations as far as
replacements go. An old toothbrush can be
a breeding ground for bacteria and if your
toothbrush is too old, it might not have the
brushing power left to do much good. Get
a new brush and your teeth will likely feel
much cleaner.
2. Get Your Cosmetic Concerns
Addressed: If you’re not happy with your
smile, for whatever reason, use the spring
dental cleaning appointment to have those
concerns addressed. Do you have a
discoloured tooth, are you missing teeth or
do you have a problem with your gums or
the shape of your teeth or smile? This is
the time to get those questions answered
so that you can reach optimal oral

looking a little yellow – maybe you drank a
little too much red wine or hot cocoa during

dentist. While it’s true that over-the-counter
bleaching agents can work to some
degree, your teeth will be much whiter for
much longer if you have them
professionally whitened. Springtime is the
