10.  Fill out the appropriate fields.
Note: Attributes are defined in the Notes field.
11.  Attributes labeled as *Required in the Requirement
field must be filled in.
a) 24 Hour notation used
E.g., 4:00pm = 16:00
b)  Experiment Status: should be
Open
12.  Briefly describe the duration of time the
experiment will take, and the payment scheme
(i.e., if there will be a show up fee, and its
amount.).
13.  All subjects must be In (i.e., NYU students).

14.  There are two main points of concern in the
experiment filter portion of experiment
scheduling.
a)  Experiment Type Filter: The name of the
experiment to be filtered – established
when creating a new experiment type see
page 3.
Note: There are two types, “Experiment
name”-participation, and “Experiment
name”-signup.
b)  Experiment Type Filter Help Menu: This
menu will allow the experimenter to filter
subjects whom have already participated
in experiments, and/or those whom have
already signed up for experiments.

Experiment name – participation;
Don’t Care: This filter allows both
experienced and nonexperienced subjects to enroll in
the same experiment.
Experiment name – participation;
In: This filter restricts enrollment
to those whom have already
participated in previous
experiments of the same type.
Experiment name – participation;
Not In: This filter restricts
participation to those whom have
not participated in the said
experiment.
Experiment name – signup; Don’t
Care: This filter allows subjects to
enroll in several sessions for the
same experiment.
Experiment name – signup; In:
This restricts enrollment to those
whom have already enrolled in
the same experiment.
Experiment name – signup; Not
In: This filter restricts subjects to
enroll (sign up) for just one
session of a given experiment.
To filter out subjects whom have
previously enrolled in an
experiment, for example A –
Decision Making, select Not In
from the three options (Don’t
Care, In, and Not In) from the
Experiment Filter Help Menu.
To only allow an individual to sign up for one experiment,
for example A – Decision Making, select Not In from the
drop down list.
15.  Select Email Notification: to notify all subjects of
the experiment being posted.
16.  Select Schedule Experiment: upon completion
of the previous steps.
Note: Once the experiment has commenced this filter will not restrict experienced participants from re-enrolling unless attendance is recorded.

17.  Add any additional instructions to this
email, which will be sent to all subjects, to
the Email Content.
18.  Select Send to email subjects.

There are three fields of importance
when recording attendance:
a) 
No Show: This field is to be
selected if the subject did not
arrive for the experiment.
b) 
Showed Up: This field is to
be selected if the participant
arrived at the experiment site
but was not used.
c) 
Participant: This field is to be
used if the subject
participated in the
experiment.
