CLIENT CONTRACT
This Contract is entered into by
ARRIVAL TIMES:
and The Good Move, LLC.
When scheduling a move, The Good Move, LLC will give you an estimated time of arrival. We will use all reasonable
efforts to make sure we are there at that time. If we are running early or late, we will call you as soon as possible to
let you know. Please make sure we have a phone number to get in touch with you on moving day. Even if, despite
our efforts, we arrive later than the estimated time, there are no corresponding discounts given.
CHARGES:
Travel: For moves outside of Boulder County, you will be charged $.55/mile. Mileage charges will begin when The
Good Move leaves their location at 2615 Trailridge Drive East, Lafayette, CO 80026, and ends when they return to
it.
HOURLY:
The hourly charge is based upon how many movers are needed to do your move. Your hourly charge will change
based on the number of movers needed and the size of the truck. The hourly charge starts when our movers arrive
at the job and ends when we have completed what you had asked us to do at the time of scheduling. We bill by the
hour. 15 minutes into the next hour, we charge for a full hour.
EXTRA:
There may be an extra charge for any large, cumbersome, extremely heavy, fragile or disposal items. We will let
you know if there is an extra charge before we move the item or items.
TRUCKS:
The Good Move, LLC will use smaller trucks for smaller jobs, which is the reason we ask for a detailed list of the
items that you need to have moved. There is never any guarantee that all of your items will fit into one load. If more
than one trip is needed you will be charged the hourly rate from the time that we arrive until we are finished.
PACKING:
If we have been hired to pack belongings for you, our same hourly rates apply, plus any packing material that has
been used that The Good Move, LLC has paid for.
PAYMENT:
The final payment is due in full at the end of the move, by cash, check, or credit card. The credit cards that we
accept are Master Card, Visa, Discover and American Express, and require a 5% processing fee. We will present you

with a bill at the end of the move (Please have a wide denomination of bills if paying by cash, as we do not carry
change). The Good Move, LLC holds a carriers lien on all goods moved until payment is received in full.
DAMAGES:
The Good Move, LLC hires and trains all of our own employees. Our movers are equipped with the proper
equipment and training to make The Good Move. Though damages happen very infrequently, and we try our very
best to move all of your belongings safely, from time to time, damage may occur. If by chance there were to be
damage, you must pay the full amount you owe The Good Move, LLC before The Good Move, LLC will honor any
damage claim. The Good Move, LLC is responsible for items in boxes or any type of container only if we have
packed it ourselves. Any items that have been packed, wrapped, or padded that we are unable to verify have not
been previously damaged, we hold no responsibility for them. If an item was damaged due to the negligence of The
Good Move, LLC employees, then The Good Move, LLC will pay the lesser of either a value equal to $.60 per pound
per lost or damaged article, or the actual value of the lost or damaged article after depreciation for age and wear
are taken into account. The customer must report damage to The Good Move, LLC within 48 hours from the time of
the move, or no claim will be honored. Please check all items after they have been moved. The Good Move, LLC is
compliant with the minimum insurance requirements set forth by Colorado State Law.
IMPOSSIBILITY AND IMPRACTICABILITY:
If The Good Move, LLC is unable to perform your move as scheduled, due to circumstances outside of The Good
Move’s control, such as the inability to fit an item through a doorway, an item being too heavy or large to move, or
an item not disclosed at the time the estimate was given then you may still be charged for The Good Moves’ time
and travel costs associated with attempting the move.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Many people ask if movers can receive tips. Yes, if you believe your movers did a good job, any tips are greatly
appreciated. The Good Move, LLC will not disconnect any gas appliances and cannot transport any inflammable or
hazardous substances. We are not responsible for dirty or soiled carpets due to the large amount of trips we will be
making in and out of your residence. The customer agrees to remove breakable items from dresser drawers before
the move. The customer agrees to remove all items from desk drawers and lateral file cabinets before the move. If
The Good Move, LLC is loading or unloading a truck, it is responsible only for the items while they are in The Good
Move’s immediate care. The Good Move, LLC is not responsible for the contents of the boxed items which it has not
packed. If we feel an item cannot be moved safely due to circumstances beyond our control, we will have you sign a
liability release before moving these items. Some of these items include particle board or pieces with preexisting
damage. We ask you to check the truck when the movers are finished, to make sure that none of your belongings
were left on it. If you think that something is missing, you must call within 48 hours.

under applicable law. If any part of this Agreement is held to be invalid or incapable of being enforced, then all
other conditions and provisions of this Agreement shall remain in full force and effect. The customer agrees that
any court or other body that construes this Agreement, to the extent necessary to avoid any unenforceability, shall
reform such part of this Agreement to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable in accordance with the
intent of the parties expressed herein. The parties also agree the court shall not construe any ambiguity against the
drafter.
MISCELLANEOUS:
This Agreement is the entire agreement between the customer and The Good Move, LLC, and supersedes all prior
representations or agreements. This Agreement may be amended or supplemented only in writing and signed by

reference to choice of law rules and is binding on the successors, heirs, and assigns of the customer and The Good
Move, LLC.

Our number one goal at The Good Move, LLC is to move all of your belongings from one place to another as safely
and as efficiently as possible. At times we are asked to move or do things that no matter what precautions we take,
the risk of certain items getting damaged is more likely. We unfortunately are not and cannot be responsible for
these items. The items that we are referring to are listed below. We ask you to please initial next to the items and
then sign at the bottom. The Good Move, LLC will still take all possible precautions to make sure all of your items
are moved as safely as possible.

On loads and unloads, we are only there for half of the move, (loading or unloading). If we are loading or unloading
a truck or vehicle for you, we are only responsible for the items that are in our immediate care.

ABSENT CUSTOMER:
We encourage our customers to be with us throughout the entire move. Whenever we move a piece of furniture we
like to be able to point out any scratches, marks, or dings that you may not have noticed. If for some reason you are
not able to be there for your move or if you need to leave in the middle of the move, we need you to sign a release
accepting all of the items in the condition that we bring them to you. We will not be responsible for any missing
items, or damaged items. We will not be responsible for any of your items that were not moved.
PARTICLE BOARD:
Particle board furniture was not made to be moved as one piece. If we feel that your particle board item has a high
chance of getting damaged due to weakness, flaws or instability it will be necessary to have it disassembled. If you
would like The Good Move, LLC to take it apart or to move it as a whole, you will need to sign a release.
APPLIANCES:
Please remember that we are movers, and we do not have the proper training to connect and disconnect
appliances and electronics. From time to time if we feel we can connect or disconnect one or more of your items
safely, we would be happy to do so. If by chance the items were not connected or disconnected properly we will
claim no responsibility.
TRUCK PARKING:
We will always find the closest and safest parking spot to load and unload your items. If you would like to tell the
movers to park somewhere other than where they had planned, you will need to sign a release. We will not be
responsible for any lawn, shrubs, trees, underground water systems, parking tickets or anything else that may get
damaged due to parking somewhere at the customer’s request. If our truck gets stuck, you will be responsible for
any towing or other charges that result from that, and any down time.
PRIOR DAMAGE:
We are not responsible for any item that has been previously damaged, or is not structurally sound.
OTHER:
The items and /or surroundings listed below have a higher chance of getting damaged no matter what precautions
we take. We will not claim responsibility for these items and their surroundings.
