They decided to try them out by developing a pilot program
with two middle schools in Miami Dade and two schools in L.A.
that are predominantly Hispanic.

Jose Marti Middle and Palm Springs Middle were selected to
participate in the Pilot.

with all having high expectations for every child.

Building and maintaining a climate where every
student deserves the opportunity to be
educated in a way that prepares them for
college if they so choose to attend.

Challenges vs. Excuses
Challenges explain why a student is struggling…
learning English, poor support, etc.
Challenges can be overcome!
An excuse is made when defeat is accepted and
hope is lost.

We all must genuinely believe that all of our
students can learn. A declaration of this belief!

Shift happens! Shifting our Graduating Class
