Dear Parent/Carer
Next week we start interviewing Year 11 students who have applied to study at Carr Hill Sixth Form Centre
from September 2017. Due to the volume of applications we have received this year the interviews will take
place over a three week period. I'd like to take this opportunity to remind parents and carers that students
do need to apply to be considered for a place at Carr Hill Sixth Form Centre. Current Year 11 students are
not guaranteed a place if they do not apply. If your son or daughter has not yet applied to Carr Hill Sixth
Form Centre please email [email protected] . From previous experience we know that many students find it difficult to make final decisions about their ALevel study programme. Some students may have a set career path in mind, yet be unsure of the best
combination of A-level subjects to study to enable them to reach that goal. Others may be considering a
number of employment options and need to know which subjects will give them the most flexibility in the
future. In order to help students Carr Hill Sixth Form Centre is running an A-level Pathways to Success
Evening on Monday 6th February. The event will give students information about how best to select A-level
subjects based on their future education and career plans. During the evening guests will receive full details
about all of the Sixth Form's A-level subjects and advice as to the most appropriate selections based
on individual career aspirations. Guest speakers from popular employment industries will also be hosting
question and answer sessions throughout the evening as well as speaking about their careers. Full details
can be found on the attached poster.

if there is an item on the list which belongs to them.
Carr Hill's Got Talent- South Africa Fundraising event Thursday 26th January from 7pm. A-level Pathways to Success Evening Monday 6th February 6.30pm-7.30pm
Year 10 and Year 12 PPE Results Tuesday 7th February 8.30am
Lockers are available to Year 9 students now. Payment can be made via the online payment system or by
cheque/cash to the Finance Office.
