Special meeting called to Vote on budget and Pickle ball court

Special meeting called to Vote on budget and Pickle ball court construction.
March 14, 2017 7:00pm at Brownsburg Fire Station Headquarters 470 E Northfield Dr.
Neighbors:
At the Home owner’s association meeting on the February 14th, a motion was offered during the
budgeting process to include money for the construction of a pickle ball court. After much discussion no
budget was passed. In brief, the issue was that on one hand the published agenda may have
persuaded some interested homeowners to not attend the meeting, and on the other hand a simple
discussion would keep this potential improvement from moving ahead for another year. In order to
encourage everyone’s participation it was decided that a special meeting will be held at Brownsburg
Fire Station Headquarters – Training Room, 470 East Northfield Drive, on March 14th at 7:00pm. The
vote will be to approve the budget as original proposed or an amended budget to include $10,000 line
item for a pickle ball court, this money would be drawn from savings and the current year overage.
Proxy votes will be accepted. Included is some information concerning pickle ball and Pros and Cons
discussed at the meeting.
Pickle ball is a 4 person game played on a tennis court like surface. The rackets are the size of
racquetball racket and the ball is very similar to a whiffle ball. You serve just like tennis, cross court,
with both players on each side each having a chance to serve First side to get to 11 wins. More
information can be found at PickleballCentral.com.
