Rules
1. A team consist of 11 players on the
field with unlimited subs.
2. There is an offensive team, defensive
team, and designated kicker.
3. The duration of a match is 4 quarters
of 15 minutes plus over time if tied.
4. The ball is considered out of bounds
when the ball is outside the outer white
line of the field.

5. In order to score a touchdown, the ball must
be crossed into the end-zone by running or
catching it in.
6. Scoring:
- touch down: 6pts
- Field goal without a touchdown: 3pts
- Field goal right after a touchdown: 1pt
- 2pt conversion right after touchdown

7. 4 downs (attempts) to advance at least 10
yards or ball goes to the other team.
8. If 10 yards are advanced by offensive team
within the 4 downs, they start from first down
again.
9. You are considered down when brought
down to the ground or if one knee touches the
ground.

Key Positions in Football
 Quarter back: throws the ball for the team
 Running back: runs the ball for the team
 Receiver: catches the ball thrown from the
quarterback
 Lineman:
-offense: Block offense to protect the
quarterback and the running back
- defense: Try to tackle quarterback or running
back
 Kicker/Punter: kicks the football in field goals or
punts
Vocabulary
 Down: the play has come to a stop
 Touchdown: team on offense scores
 Punt: ball is kicked to opposing team. (typically on
4th down when too far away from scoring)
 Field goal: ball is kicked in between goal posts to
score
 End Zone: The end of the field on both sides

 Interception: Ball is caught by the team on defense.
 Fumble: ball is dropped by team on offense after
they had controlled possession.
 Line of scrimmage: an invisible line formed in
between the men on offense and the men on defense
right before the play begins.

 Blocking
