Fields open at North Hall Park

The first ball game at North Hall Park will be played Friday, Aug. 17, by the Hall County Parks and Leisure
middle school softball league. At 6 p.m., Chestatee will face North Hall. This is the first season for the
league under the management of Hall County Parks and Leisure.
The recreation portion of the Community and Technology Center at the park will open to the public on
Sept. 24. The technology portion of the building is tentatively scheduled to open on Oct. 17. A grand
opening for the entire park is being planned for mid November.
North Hall Park is located at 4175 Nopone Road, Gainesville. The first phase of the 123-acre park
includes four Little League baseball fields, a running track, walking trails, multipurpose field, and a
children's play area. Future phases will include more a recreational lawn, sports fields, hiking/bicycling
trails and nature areas. The Community and Technology Center includes basketball courts, a fitness
center, indoor walking track, community rooms, a game room, showers and lockers, as well as a
computer lab, a special children's reading area, coffee shop, meeting and event rooms, and quiet study
areas.
