Writing ESY Goals and/or Objectives in eSPED Application: ARD FORMS o o Screen: Student select DRAFT - Use Draft for Annual ARD if you are addressing ESY at an Annual – creation new ARD/IEP ACTIVE – Use Active for Progress Reporting (updating goals and objectives before an ARD and at 9 week updates or during ESY) ACTIVE – Use Active for all ARDs in between Annual ARDs. ESL - Yes No Clear (Clear will take away all) Goal Focus – Please put in : ESY _______ (Example: ESY Behavior) ESY – check after ESY is discussed and this goal is identified as an ESY goal AND (if applicable) Transition Related Goal – Check if true Academic – Check if this is an academic goal – this goal should have a STANDARD associated with it Functional – check if a Functional goal – may not have a TEK Standard attached if not associated to a TEK, but must be educationally related to disability related need Related Services – check if related services will be supporting this goal during ESY Page 2 of 4 Your ESY Goal and ESY Objective(s) should be copied and pasted from either: A mastered goal and/or objective A goal and/or objective currently in progress (which will need to be maintained to prevent regression at ESY) Reminder: Write “ESY ________” (area of critical need; ex. behavior, communication, self-help, academic) in GOAL FOCUS Page 3 of 4 Should print like this: Reminders about ESY Goals in ESPED: TO CREATE YOUR ESY GOAL and/or OBJECTIVES: Copy and Paste from an existing goal and/or objective(s) that is being recommended for ESY DO NOT actually click timeframe within eSPED or the condition, or criteria from the dropdowns above the goal box.
