The External Concept for the Exhibition
“Auto Industry. Auto Components” in 2007

The Purpose of the Project
The development of the most effective communication for all parties in which they will be able to tackle
some of the tasks within the area of the Concept of the Development of the Automotive Industry in
Russia, particularly, within international cooperation, subcontracts in auto industry and the area of
politics of building distribution of quality materials and automotive components within the secondary
market.
Communication Forms within the Project:
1) Exhibition, which allows presenting products and informing interested persons about their
advantages.
2) Conference, which allows to meet with significant figures in auto industry, establish business
contacts with them, learn about major manufacturing and economic trends and strategies of
Russian manufacturers and assembling companies within the territory of Russia.
3) Presentations, allowing for strengthening the message from manufacturers of auto components
and materials for auto industry about advantages of their products and direct it toward interested
addressees – auto manufacturers and large distributors in the secondary market – depending on
established goals.
4) Business meetings, which are organized specifically for negotiations on purchases between
a. automotive manufacturers and manufacturers of auto components and materials
b. manufacturers of automotive components and materials and large distributors.
Exhibition’s Unique Offer
This exhibition is unique in its own right because it practically overturns the traditional perception of an
exhibition when the attendance of 5,000 – 10,000 specialists per 100 participants is planned.
Here, the unique offer of the exhibition is that:
1. Major visitors are not numerous auto manufacturers who like their potential customers are the
main interest for manufacturers of auto components and materials for auto production.
2. For satisfaction of needs of those participants who work for both markets – conveyers of auto
manufacturers and the secondary market of auto components – there is a special section at the
exhibition that is devoted to ideas for the secondary market.
The communication form in this case is a demonstration of own products on stands and at
presentations.
Since the project is conducted in Togliatti, much attention will be given to the largest domestic
manufacturer – Volzhskiy Avtozavod – and namely, its product, technological, and manufacturing
strategies. Participation in the exhibition this close to the plant gives the opportunity to the participants to
visit the facilities and receive necessary information from “the first hands.”
Attendance of the exhibition by auto manufacturers, auto assembling companies and representatives of
large distributors also means their participation. This participation means that auto manufacturers are
given some area for dissemination of information on companies’ plans, needs for products from suppliers
and requirements for suppliers. Large distributors are given an opportunity to participate in business
meetings with potential suppliers. Therefore, the unique offer of the exhibition is
1. The possibility to choose materials, components and suppliers from numerous offers according to
specific goals and strategies which are of higher quality, more advanced, better adapted
technologically, and require less production and financial expenses.
2. the possibility to improve the quality of auto components within the secondary market.
The communication forms for visitors with participants are:
1. presentations of representatives of companies about their product and price strategies, distribution
strategies and relations with suppliers.
2. business meetings between auto components manufacturers and distributors.
Thus, the exhibition “Auto Industry. Auto Components” is an area where a version of a market of auto
materials and auto components is going to be recreated with more strict conditions of the competition
between manufacturers.
The congress part of the project:
The business part of the project also covers issues of development strategies for assembling companies in
Russia in general and quality of materials used on auto production for increasing the competitiveness of
Russian automobiles.
The project promotion
Since the success of the exhibition depends on quality and quality of attracted visitors, the main attention
in strategies and tactics of the project promotion is given to working with this audience. For this purpose
there will be personal meetings with manufacturers, information dissemination at the events of industry
associations, active work with government organs. The media support is also planned.
