Report
After a massive win yesterday the Eagles were on the road for the final game of their regular season, playing York QE
again.
Once again the Eagles didn’t struggle to score throughout the game, however York QE managed to score in bunches.
The first quarter got off to a competitive start with both teams being aggressive with their half sets. The Eagles were
dominant inside and shared the ball throughout the game with all players getting involved. Their defensive efforts
paid off with 8-0 run to finish the quarter up 30-7.
The second quarter was another powerful 10 minutes as the Eagles continued to look inside but also to force the
York QE defence to collapse so 3 pointers could be made. Free throws were executed with the team going 100% for
the quarter and some great passes in transition allowed multiple players to score and get assists. The half finished
60-16.
The third quarter was a more fair one for York QE as the Eagles couldn’t cope getting back in transition defence, and
they didn’t struggle when looking to put the ball inside for some easy scores. However the Eagles could answer back
every time as they scored 28 points against York’s 14 to finish 86-30.
The last quarter was just as dominating as the first and the Eagles finished their last regular game in a flying start in
the first 5 minutes by scoring 20 points against York’s 2. However fatigue settled in and the Eagles rounded the game
off to win 114-40 against a better York QE and finish 2nd in the league.
They now wait for confirmation of when and who they will play in the first round of the playoffs.
