Will Durant Foundation, Bracebridge, Ontario
Private foundation set up to preserve and disseminate the work of Pulitzer
Prize-winning philosopher Will Durant. Member of the board of directors.
Responsible for writing and editing articles for the foundation publication
and developing concepts and products for in-house sales department
(including films, books, audio materials, and newsletters); co-produced
and edited a Durant film documentary, provided archival research and
restoration of historical materials, designed and developed foundation
website, designed and developed an online university, and established
foundation’s publishing arm.
1999 - 2001
Bruce Lee Educational Foundation, Boise, Idaho
I was a member of the foundation and an advisor to its administration. The
first recipient of its collegiate award for philosophical writing, the
foundation’s director identified me as one of the top three authorities in
the world on the philosophy of Bruce Lee. I contributed papers and
articles to the foundation’s newsletter and magazine, participated in the
development of foundation projects and objectives, and lectured on the
behalf of the foundation and Bruce Lee’s philosophy during a 2000 lecture
series in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
