STANDARD PLAYERS AGREEMENT
2016-2017 SEASON
NOJHL Player’s League Fee $1,136.00 + HST (for a League Schedule of 54 games)
NOJHL Showcase Fee $350.00 +HST
NOJHL Club Fee $5,000.00 +HST (Maximum)
Billet Fee $500/month (Maximum)
ADDITIONAL BENEFITS
Any additional benefits must be listed herein Under Schedule A and in compliance
with NCAA Amateurism Policy including sponsorships of the $ League Fee and/ or
the $ Equipment Program.
ADDITIONAL FEES
Fees in addition to the $ League Fee, $ Club Fee, $ Billet Fee and $ Equipment Fee
Program must be specified herein Schedule B.

(Hereinafter called the ‘Club’) OF THE FIRST PART
AND _________________________________________________________________
(Hereinafter called the ‘Player’)

(Hereinafter called the ‘Parents’)
AND - NORTHERN ONTARIO JUNIOR HOCKEY LEAGUE
(Hereinafter called the “League”)
WHEREAS the Club is a registered Junior A Hockey Club playing in the Northern Ontario Junior
Hockey League and operating out of the city/town of …………………………… in the Province of
Ontario or out of a city/state of ………………………………………… in USA
AND WHEREAS the Player has exhibited sufficiently exceptional hockey skills to play for the
Club
AND WHEREAS the Club wishes to encourage further education, training and advancement
while he is playing for the Club
The Player covenants and agrees:
1. To report to training camp in sound and good health and perform at the level required of
him to be a member of a Junior A Hockey Club.
2. To attend all Club practices, games, training sessions and scheduled Club functions in a
timely manner and in appropriate dress and deportment.
3. To report to any member Club of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League and/or any
club within Hockey Canada structure in the event his rights are transferred during the season,
so long as it does not require him to change his school during a semester unless agreed upon by
all parties.
4. To attend any classes or fulfill any educational commitments he has during the playing
season.
5. To permit the Club to monitor his academic attendance and performance and report to his
Parents any progress or lack thereof from time to time.
6. To use the contracted equipment from the League’s official supplier for all League and play-

off games (provided we have a league wide deal).
7. To abide by the League’s and Club Policies such as: Risk Management, Social Networking,
Code of Conduct.
8. Any violation of the League and/or Club Policies could result in suspension, loss of playing
privileges and/or dismissal from Club, with or without Refund at the discretion of the NOJHL
Commissioner.
9. The Player agrees in the event of any dispute of any Refund, the final decision will be made
by the NOJHL Commissioner. The decision is final and binding on all parties.
10. Any Refund is based on the number of games remaining in the Club’s regular season
schedule as per the “REFUND FORM”.
11. In the event the Player quits and/or leaves the Club anytime during the season, from the
first regular season game and/or beyond, there will be no League and/or Club Refund.
12. If the Player initiated, or participated in tampering with another club in another league, the
Player may and/or could forfeit any refund that may be due and/or pay all outstanding financial
obligations owed.
The Parents covenant and agree:
1. To ensure all of the Player commitments are met and supported both prior to reporting and
during the playing season to allow the Club to monitor the attendance and performance of the
Player at his secondary or post-secondary place of education during the playing season.
2. To allow the Player to transfer to another Club in the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey
League and or any club within Hockey Canada structure in the event his rights are transferred
provided it does not require a change in school during a semester unless agreed upon by all
parties.
3. Any violation of the League and/or Club Policies could result in suspension, loss of playing
privileges and/or dismissal from Club, with or without any Refund at the discretion of the
NOJHL Commissioner.
4. That any dispute over any Refund, shall be made by the NOJHL Commissioner. The decision
is final and binding on all parties.
5. Any Refund is based on the number of games remaining in the Club’s regular season
schedule as per the “REFUND FORM”.
6. In the event the Player quits and/or leaves the Club anytime during the season, from the first
regular season game and/or beyond, there will be no League and/or Club Refund.
The Club agrees:
1. to provide the Player with the opportunity to play and perform with the Club as a full time
member and with the benefits provided to all players save and except a guarantee of playing
time in games. (Unless you are a 16 year old and are subject to the NOJHL 16 year old Policy).
2. to provide the equipment program as per (Club Agreement ) (Schedule B)
3. to provide access to billeting as required.
4. All Players who are traded or released, or who suffer a season ending injury, are entitled to a
refund of any participation fee based on the number of games remaining in the Club‘s regular
season schedule, as per the “Refund Form”.

5. Any violation of the League and/or Club Policies may result in suspension, loss of playing

regular season game and or beyond, there will be no League and/or Club Refund.
9. To provide to the League all requested documentation when a Player has been acquired,
signed, and or released and or his playing rights transferred.
10. To reimburse the Player any Club Refund within 14 Days if no dispute from the date of release
on the Hockey Canada Registration (HCR) and once the Club verifies that the Player does not have
any outstanding fees to the Club and/or the Billet Family.
11. To ensure all the necessary signatures are on the NOJHL Standard Players Agreement prior to
the Player playing any games.
The League agrees:
1. The NOJHL Commissioner shall resolve any dispute over any refunds. The Decision is final
and binding on all parties.
2. To reimburse the Player any League Refund within 14 Days, if no dispute, from the date of
release on the Hockey Canada Registration (HCR) and once the League verifies that the Player
does not have any outstanding fees to the Club and/or the Billet Family.
Sanctions:
1. Any Club found in violation of these Policies shall be subject to the following sanction and
discipline: a fine double the amount of the outstanding fees owed to the Player not including any
refund to be paid by the Club.
2. To ensure that no Member Club may charge a second League Fee to a Player that has previously
signed an NOJHL Standard Player Agreement in the same season. Any Club found in violation of
this regulation shall be subject to the following sanction: minimum $5,000 fine payable to the
NOJHL.
