Indoor5-on-5Co-EdSoccer(withGoalies)Rules Purpose The following rules and regulations will be enforced to create a safe environment forallplayerstakingpartintheIndoor5-on-5Co-edSoccerLeagueandany5-on-5 Co-edSoccerIndoorTournaments. Safety Aplayermustnotuseequipmentorwearanythingthatisdangeroustoher/himself oranotherplayer(includinganykindofjewellery). Basicequipment The basic compulsory equipment of a player comprises the following separate items: • A jersey or shirt with their team’s colour. Goalkeepers must wear colours thatdistinguishhim/herfromtheotherplayersandthereferees • Shinguards • Footwear–ensureshoesareofNon-MarkingSoles DecisionsoftheReferee Thedecisionsoftherefereesregardingfactsconnectedwithplay,includingwhether ornotagoalisscoredandtheresultofthematch,arefinal. Therefereesmayonlychangeadecisiononrealizingthatitisincorrector,attheir discretionprovidedthattheyhavenotrestartedplayorterminatedthematch. All rules unless otherwise specified in this document will follow the latest officialFIFAFutsalLawsoftheGame. Players Amatchisplayedbytwoteams,eachconsistingofnotmorethanfiveplayers,oneof whomisthegoalkeeper.Theremustbeaminimumof1femaleand1maleonthe pitchatalltimesofplay.Goaliescanbeeithermaleorfemale.Theonlyexceptionto thisruleisasfollows: • Eitherteamshowsupwithonlyonefemale/male • Teamshowsupwithnofemaleplayers In either one of these circumstances team captains are to come to a mutual agreementregardingplayersinplayandnotifyrefereepriortothegamestart. Amatchmaynotstartifeitherteamconsistsoffewerthanthreeplayers.Thematch isforfeitedbytheteam(s)thatdoesnotmeettheplayerrequirementandwillresult ina1-0finalscore.Ifbothoftheteamshavefewerthanthreeplayersonthepitch thenthematchwillbeconsideredafriendlyresultingina1-1finalscore. Substitutions A substitution may be made at any time, whether the ball is in play or not. To replaceaplayerwithasubstitute,thefollowingconditionsmustbeobserved: • Thesubstituteonlyentersthepitchaftertheplayerbeingreplacedhasleft • From that moment, the substitute becomes a player and the player he has replacedbecomesasubstitutedplayer • Thesubstitutedplayermaytakefurtherpartinthematch • All substitutes are subject to the authority and jurisdiction of the referees, whethercalledupontoplayornot • If a period is extended to allow a penalty kick only the goalkeeper of the defendingteammaybesubstituted Thenumberofsubstitutionsthatmaybemadeduringamatchisunlimited. InfringementsandSanctions Ifasubstituteentersthepitchbeforetheplayerbeingreplacedhasleft • The referees stop play (although not immediately if they can apply the advantage) • Therefereescautionhimforinfringingthesubstitutionprocedureandorder him/hertoleavethepitch If the referees have stopped play, it is restarted with an indirect free kick to the opposingteamfromthepositionoftheballatthetimeofthestoppage. ChangingtheGoalkeeper • • • Anyplayermaychangeplaceswiththegoalkeeper The player changing places with the goalkeeper must do so during a stoppage in the match and must inform the referees before the change is made A player or substitute replacing the goalkeeper must wear a goalkeeper’s jersey/pinnie PeriodsofPlay The match lasts two equal periods of 25 minutes with 2 minute allowed at halftime,unlessotherwisemutuallyagreedbetweentherefereeandthetwoteams. Anyagreementtoalterthedurationoftheperiodsofplaymustbemadebeforethe startofplayandmustcomplywiththecompetitionrules.Pleasenotethatperiods of play are subject to change for tournaments depending on the format of the tournament Acoinistossedandtheteamthatwinsthetossdecideswhichgoalitwillattackin thefirsthalfofthematch. Theotherteamtakesthekick-offtostartthematch. Theteamthatwinsthetosstakesthekick-offtostartthesecondhalfofthematch. Inthesecondhalfofthematch,theteamschangeendsandattacktheoppositegoals. Kick-off Akick-offisawayofstartingorrestartingplay: • Atthestartofthematch • Afteragoalhasbeenscored • Atthestartofthesecondhalfofthematch • Allplayersmustbeintheirownhalfofthepitch • Theopponentsoftheteamtakingthekick-offareatleast3mfromtheball untilitisinplay • Theballmustbestationaryonthecentermark • Therefereegivesasignal • Theballisinplaywhenitiskicked • Afterateamscoresagoal,providedthattheperiodhasnotended,thekickoff istakenbytheotherteam. BallOutofPlay Theballisoutofplaywhen: • Ithaswhollycrossedthegoallineortouchlinewhetheronthegroundorin theair • Playhasbeenstoppedbythereferees • Ithitstheceiling,orkickupintothestands/walkingtrack–Inthiscasethe gameisrestartedwithakick-intakenbytheopponentsoftheteamthatlast touchedtheball.Thekick-inistakenfromthepointonthetouchlinenearest totheplaceonthegroundabovewhichtheballhittheceiling BallinPlay Theballisinplayatallothertimes,includingwhen: • Itreboundsoffagoalpostorcrossbarandremainsonthepitch • Itreboundsofftherefereeswhentheyareonthepitch • Ifrefereedoesnotblowthewhistle GoalScored Agoalisscoredwhenthewholeoftheballpassesoverthegoalline,betweenthe goalpostsandunderthecrossbar. If,afteragoalisscored,therefereesrealize,beforeplayrestarts,thattheteamthat scored the goal was playing with an extra player or had carried out a substitution incorrectly,theymustdisallowthegoalandrestartplaywithanindirectfreekickto betakenbytheopponentsoftheoffendingplayerfromanypointinsidethepenalty area. ThereisNOoffsideinIndoorSoccer. Fouls Foulsarepenalizedwithafreekickorpenaltykick. FoulsAwardedFreeKick Freekickswillbeawardedforthefollowing: • Handlingtheball:whenaplayercarries,strikesorpropelstheballwithhand orarm • Chargingfairly,butclearlytheplayerisnotgoingfortheball • Delayingplaybytrappingtheballorimposingtheprogressofanopposing playerwithyourbody. • Chargingthegoalkeeper • UnsportsmanlikeBehavior • Goalkeepershandletheballlongerthan5secondsaftercontrollingitwith his/herhands • Whenagoalkeepertouchestheballwithhis/herhandsafterithasbeen passedtothembyateammate • Scoringagoalfromafreekickcanonlybedonein-directly FoulsAwardedPenaltyKick Apenaltykickisawardedifanyoftheabovetenoffencesiscommittedbyaplayer insidehisownpenaltyarea,irrespectiveofthepositionoftheball,provideditisin play. CautionableOffences Followingwillresultinayellowcard(atreferees’discretion)uponwhichreceiving teamhastoplaywiththeplayerdownfortwominutes: • Sliding!Whethertotackleanotherplayer,orkeeptheballfromgoingoutof bounds. • Intentionalhandballs. • Committinganaggressivefoul(deemedbyreferee). • Unsportingbehavior • Intentionallydelayingtherestartofplay • Dissentbywordoraction Sending-offOffences Followingwillresultinaredcard(atreferees’discretion)andexpulsionfromthe matchandcouldbesubjecttohearingwiththeLeagueDisciplinaryCommittee: • Seriousfoulplay • • • • Violentconduct Spittingatanopponentoranyotherperson Usingoffensive,insultingorabusivelanguageand/orgestures Receivingasecondcautioninthesamematch Thiswillresultinthesubject’steamtoplayaplayerdownfortheentiretyofthe remaininggame. PlayersandSubstitutesSentOff Asubstitutemayreplaceasent-offplayerandenterthepitchaftertwominutesof playing time have elapsed since the sending-off, provided that he/she has the authorization of the referee unless a goal is scored before the two minutes have elapsed,inwhichcasethefollowingconditionsapply: • Iftherearefiveplayersagainstfourandtheteamwiththegreaternumberof playersscoresagoal,theteamwithonlyfourplayersmaybecompletedwith afifthplayer • Ifbothteamsareplayingwiththreeorfourplayersandagoalisscored,both teamsremainwiththesamenumberofplayers • Iftherearefiveplayersplayingagainstthree,orfouragainstthree,andthe teamwiththegreaternumberofplayersscoresagoal,theteamwiththree playersmaybeincreasedbyoneplayeronly • If the team that scores the goal is the one with fewer players, the game continueswithoutchangingthenumberofplayers WinningTeam Theteamscoringthegreaternumberofgoalsduringamatchisthewinner.Ifboth teamsscoreanequalnumberofgoals,orifnogoalsarescored,thematchisdrawn. Thereisnoextratimeduringtheregularseasongamesofleagueandtournament play.Pleasenotethatextratimeissubjecttochangeforleagueplayoffsand tournamentsdependingontheformatoftheleagueplayoffandtournament.
