RESPONSIBILITIES FOR FIELD HOCKEY GAME

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR FIELD HOCKEY GAME MANAGERS
Thank you for offering your field to District One for the Field Hockey
Tournament and acting as a game manager for this event.
We ask that you review the following duties so that a safe environment
can be provided for our players and coaches.
• Contact the teams involved to verify the starting time and the
time permitted for warm-up (45 minutes).
• Review all lines on the field to ensure that they meet National
Federation standards and check goal cages for proper placement.
• Introduce yourself to coaches and officials.
• Facilitate in the solution of any problems that arise.
• Provide a table, chairs, a clock for the timer and a horn.
• If a visible scoreboard is used, that will be the official clock and it
will run down to 0 and the horn will end the half/game.
• The field hockey official who is designated as the timer will have a
hand held clock. If a stadium clock is used the field hockey timer
will be the back up. If not, she/he will be the official timer and
will signify the end of the half/game with a horn.
• Escort officials from the field following the game.
Once again many thanks for your time and commitment to District One.
We appreciate all your efforts.
