Guide for Providers Quick Reference Guide - Adding Short-Term Restorative Care (STRC) as a service type using the My Aged Care provider portal Administrator This Quick Reference Guide has been designed to inform those who perform the role of ‘Administrator’ within the My Aged Care provider portal of the procedures for adding an STRC service item to an outlet and maintaining STRC service details. Service providers (providers) should continue to use the ‘Create service delivery outlets and add service information using the My Aged Care provider portal’ reference guide. This document provides supplementary information to the general reference guide. Overview of STRC STRC is a new form of flexible care. STRC commenced in 2017 with an identified maximum number of allocated places available through a limited number of STRC approved providers. STRC services may be delivered in a home/community setting, a residential setting, or a combination of both. Whilst STRC may be delivered from a residential care facility, persons currently receiving residential care (i.e., existing residents of a facility) or a home care package are not eligible to receive STRC. Each allocation of STRC places will be linked to a particular setting through conditions of allocation. STRC uses existing Aged Care Gateway processes and functions. There are no fundamental changes to the process administrators use to add or update a service inventory for an outlet. At present, information about aged care services provided by approved providers for STRC is not publicly displayed on the My Aged Care service finder. My Aged Care currently uses a static page to display STRC service information. The STRC service details referred to in this guide are used by contact centre staff and assessors to refer clients for service(s). 1 March 2017 How do I add an STRC service item to an outlet? 1.
