How it works
Grant criteria
The East Hampshire District Council
(EHDC) Elite Sports Fund provides
grants to help sportsmen and women
aged 10 to 24 years in their efforts to
achieve national, international or even
Olympic honours.
Applicants must:
Grants are awarded towards
travelling and coaching expenses
and qualifications or the purchase of
clothing or equipment.
All eligible applicants for grant aid are
automatically considered for the annual
East Hampshire Sports Awards*.
•
have achieved at least county
standard or equivalent in their sport
•
have lived in the district for at least
six months
•
be age 10 to 24 when applying**
•
provide supporting evidence of
talent or potential from a relevant
coach/NGB/teacher.
•
supply evidence of costs incurred
due to attendance at training
camps etc.***
•
apply between 1 September
and 30 November

* Athletes who do not fulfil the grant aid criteria are still welcome to apply or be nominated

** In exceptional circumstances, grants may be awarded to people aged 25 years and over
at the discretion of East Hampshire District Council.
*** If an applicant has received grant aid in the past, they must provide a breakdown of how
this was spent.
