Liquid paint is not

developed paint hardener
products that solidify
paint. You can also solidify
paint by mixing it with
clay-based kitty litter.

Council’s esource ecovery Centres
Council’s Resource Recovery Centres are located at
Saleyards Road, Millicent and Abbey Road, Penola.
Waste is separated into green waste, glass, cans,
plastics, cardboard, metal and electrical and sent on for
recycling. Batteries, waste oil, e-waste and chemical
containers are accepted and disposed of appropriately.

Waste Transfer Stations located at Beachport*, Furner
and Glencoe only accept recyclables and general waste.
Each station has unloading ramps with skips divided into
sections for sorting of waste. *The Beachport Waste
Transfer Station CAN accept green waste.
Residual waste (non-recyclable) from Resource Recovery
Centres and Waste Transfer Stations is sent to the
Caroline Landfill near Mount Gambier.
