CASTLEDOWNS HOCKEY SCHOOL
For the 33rd time, the Castle Downs Recreation Society (CDRS), is once again hosting its one-week HOCKEY
SCHOOL at the Castledowns Recreation Center, from August 24th through August 29th, 2015, for Novice
through Peewee player’s, aged 6 to 12 years. Participants are expected to register in the appropriate age group
according to the upcoming 2015-2016 EMHA Season.
The focus of the school, under the guidance of our advisor, Kelly Rissling, and Head Instructor Jeff Wood, is
on hockey skills and skating development. Each day, new aspects of the game are featured providing players
with an excellent opportunity to learn new skills with emphasis placed on a fun-learning environment. The
school culminates with our “Game Day Saturday”, where the participants get to show off their stuff, in a game
setting.
For the past 32 years, the Castle Downs Hockey School (CDHS) has been offered through the CDRS, the Area
Council for the six Community Leagues of Castledowns. The CDHS has established itself as an affordable, well
run pre-season school, with many players returning each year.
All participants are to have good skating abilities and appropriate hockey skills for their age group.

Session Times and Age Groupings are subject to the number of registrants, with Novice Sessions
starting first thing in the morning and Peewee/Bantam Sessions taking place later in the day.
Sessions are limited to 32 players, with a maximum of eight players to one Jr. Instructor ratio.

Allocation of sessions is subject to final Number and Ages of Registrants. Session Times are arranged
with Novice Sessions starting first thing in the morning and Peewee Sessions taking place later in the day.
Session #1 – 7:45AM to 10:45AM
Session #3 – 11:00AM to 2:00PM
Session #2 – 9:00AM to 12:00PM
Session #4 – 12:15PM to 3:15PM
Registration Fees and Deadlines:
FEE: $210.00 Per Registrant
Return Application and Fee by August 1st, 2015.
We will accept Post-Dated Cheques dated no later than August 1st, 2015.
A confirmation will be sent upon receipt of registration, with final session times confirmed via in early August.
