LEXINGTON, S.C. — White Knoll High School students brought home multiple awards from a challenging
competition.
The South Carolina Junior Classical League Spring Forum, held on March 18, tested students in the areas of
Latin, creative arts, and Greek and Roman history. WKHS’s Upper Certamen Quiz Bowl Team, consisting of
Logan L. Carabo, Michael C. Dooley, Mary M. Lightsey and Mary E. Snow, won second place overall.
Individual first-place winners included Mary Lightsey for Advanced Latin Derivatives, Eden M. Snow for both
Photography and Greeting Cards, and Mary Snow for Advanced Latin Grammar. Mary Snow also won second
place for Digitally Enhanced Photography.
Additionally, Carabo was named president of the S.C. Junior Classical League.
