7:30 AM Tee Time Start
Links-Canyon
Open to Full Tournament Division Players Only
Check In/Tee Off: Check In begins at 6:30 AM;
you must check in 15 minutes before your tee time
or you may lose your slot. No practice on the
course prior to the round.
Format: Each player shall have an opportunity to
win up to 36 points. Points are earned by winning
individual 100% handicapped matches within your
foursome. Players in a foursome will play from the
same tee box and have similar handicaps. Match
play rules as governed by the USGA apply. You
play six holes against each player in your group.
Each hole is worth 2 points. Win= 2 points, Tie=1
point, Loss=0 points. No carryovers.
Red Jacket Champion: The player with the most
points will be the “Red Jacket Champion”. The
players with the most points from each tee box
shall receive the highest payouts of equal value.
The remaining payouts are across the field.
Missing Player: See procedure on page two for
complete details. Play the matches for the players
that are present. Remaining players will substitute
for the missing player. The substitute player cannot
win points for that match, but tries to prevent his
opponent from gaining points.
Teeing Ground: Indicated on scorecards and
assigned per FHMGC Teeing Ground Policy.
Course combination is Links-Canyon.
Recording Scores:
Gross scores must be
recorded on scorecard or you are disqualified. The
CONDITIONS OF PLAY (COP) SHEET
committee will apply handicap strokes
calculate the hole by hole scores and points.
and
Rules: If you feel your ball may be lost outside of
a water hazard or OB, play a provisional ball. To
speed pace of play, observe the strokes and final
ball location of other members in your group. If your
ball is in the gulch fronting the green of #5 Canyon
you must use the options of Rule 26 that do not
require that you play from the ESA or as an
additional option you may utilize the drop zone on
the tee side of the hazard next to cart path. The
drop area on the greenside of #5 Canyon may NOT
be utilized. Note: In Match Play, you may NOT
play 2 balls under R3-3 or R20-7. If in doubt as
to procedure by your opponent, make an
immediate claim under Rule 2-5.
Closest-to-the-Hole (CTH) Contests: Three parthree holes have individual competitions that pay
$25.00 in CASH. A separate voluntary contest is
available for a fourth par-3 hole (The Glory Hole)
using a special measuring device. This separate
individual competition requires a $5 cash-only entry
fee at the check-in table. Measurement of CTH is
from the flagstick to the front of the ball on the
green.
Skins Game: There will NOT be a separate Skins
game administered by the club.
Ties: Will be settled by a scorecard play-off as
specified in the current USGA Rules of golf, Rule
33-6 & Appendix I-C-11. Ties are broken by
number of points on Canyon: 1-9, 4-9, 7-9, #9, #5,
#7, #2, #1, #4, #3, #6, #8, by Lot.
Pace of Play: Pace of Play will be enforced! Play
“Ready Golf” and provisional ball(s) if there is any
uncertainty. You must finish the eighteen holes in 4
hours and 45 minutes, or be within 15 minutes of
the group in front of you. Applicable penalties are
described on the hard card and club website.
