Sale of Portable Classroom A & B
Inspection Period March 27th and 28th, 2017
Bid Due Date March 31, 2017 at 2:00 PM
Anderson School District Three is requesting sealed bids on two used portable classrooms. Portable
classrooms are labeled as “A” & “B” (refer to figure 1 on page 4). Interested persons should contact
David Nixon at 864-48-6196 for further information. Submitted bids must be a minimum of $500.00.
Units must be removed from the school site within 15 business days of sale.
1. The portable will be available for inspection by appointment only from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM,
Monday & Tuesday March 27th and 28th at:

2. All potential persons must contact David Nixon at 864-348-6196 or [email protected]
to set up an appointment to view the portable.
3. If two high bids are equal in value on the portable, the two parties will participate in a verbal
auction between each other with a representative from Anderson School District 3.
4. The portable classrooms are sold “AS IS” and includes all contents. Anderson School District 3
provides no warranty, expressed or implied, nor does the district guarantee the structure.
5. Once the portable classroom has been awarded to the highest bidder, the contents are the
responsibility of the bidder.
6. Once a portable classroom has been awarded to a successful bidder, no repairs will be
permitted on school district property.
7. Interested individuals can bid on both, or a single portable classroom.
8. Sealed bids, clearly marked, will be received until 2:00 PM, March 31st at:

Bid opening and award will occur at the Anderson School District Three Administrative Offices
on Friday, March 31st, 2017 at 3:00PM.

9. After the highest bidder is notified, the bidder will pay by cash, certified check or money order
within two business days of notification. If the high bidder does not pay for the portable
classroom within two business days, the District may offer the portable classroom to the next
highest bidder. All cashier’s checks or money orders will be made payable to Anderson School
District Three.
10. It is the responsibility of the highest bidder to have the portable classroom removed from the
school district property. The portable classroom is sold “AS IS” and when moved from the school
district property, the school district has no liability for the portable classroom (expressed or
implied). The portable classroom must be removed from the school district property within
fifteen business days after awarded. The bidder is responsible for cleaning all debris from the
removal of the portable and repairing any damages incurred during its removal. If purchaser
does not remove the portable classroom the bid will be voided. The school district then may
award the bid to the next highest bidder.

Anderson School District Three Administrative Offices will accept sealed bids for the sale of a
portable classroom. Bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 31st, 2017. Bids must be
submitted on these bid forms. Faxed and emailed bids will not be considered. All bids must be
sealed and received prior to the scheduled opening time at the address listed below. Bids must
be plainly marked on the outside of the envelope: “Sealed Bid –Portable Classroom”
Anderson School District Three will award the portable classroom to the highest qualifying
bidder. The portable classroom must be paid for when picked up. A school district purchase
order will be accepted. The portable classroom is being sold “As Is” with no warranty.
A minimum bid price of $500 has been established for the classroom portable. Your bid must be
equal to or exceed the stated minimum bid price. Any bid for an item that is less than the
minimum bid will be rejected by Anderson School District Three.

5. Non – Collusive affidavit: The undersigned party submitting this bid hereby certifies that such
bid is genuine and collusive, and that said bidder entity has not colluded, conspired, connived or
agreed, directly or indirectly, with any bidder or person, to put in a sham bid or to refrain from
bidding, and has not in any manner, directly or indirectly, sought by agreement or collusion, or
communication or conference, with any person, to fix the bid price, or that of any other bidder
or to secure any advantage against Anderson School District Three or any person interested in
