summer term. The past months have been exceptionally busy with the appointment of a
substantive Headteacher, the Easter Service, the Year 6 World War 2 Day and much, much
more.

Year 6 World War Two Day
The Year 6 children rounded off their World War
Two Theme with a fantastic WW2 Day. The children
and staff dressed in clothing from the time period
and shared many of the things that they have learnt
about the time during an assembly to which parents
were invited. They told us about Hitler, the blitz,
rationing and even performed a waltz!
The children also gained a great insight into the life
of a child during WW2 when PC Secker’s mum, Pam
Secker, visited the children and shared with them
many of her experiences. A huge thanks goes to
Mrs Secker for giving up her time to be with the
children.
Dance Umbrella
Members of our Year 6 Dance Troup gave an outstanding
performance at this year’s BaNES Dance Umbrella.
The Children produced a beautiful performance, full of grace and
poise to the music of James Bay. Well done, you did St Michael’s
very proud.
