CALL FOR PROPOSALS 2017
In line with PhilRice’s new strategic plan (2017-2022) geared towards
achieving a rice secure Philippines, we enjoin you to submit your proposals
aimed at helping us realize our key outcomes for 2017-2022.
We encourage highly innovative and state of the art research and
development initiatives to help us respond to the pressing needs of our
changing rice landscape.
These are PhilRice areas of interest in relation to committing ourselves to
achieving a rice secure Philippines.
The proposals to be submitted should fit into the following identified
outcomes of the Institute:

Increased productivity, cost effectiveness, and profitability of rice
farming in a sustainable manner
Improved rice trade through efficient post production, better product
quality, and reliable supply

affordable rice and diversified rice-based farming commodities and their
products
A science-based and supportive rice policy environment
Advanced rice science and technology for future sources of growth

Expanding scientific knowledge and finding practical application of
science to solve a particular problem.
Testing and refining products or processes before deployment for
commercial use; pertaining to demonstration, deployment, and
diffusion of products)
The approved proposals will be considered for implementation and funding
in 2017.
Please email the electronic copy to Ms. Rizzla I. Salas (research proposals)
or Ms. Joybeth N. Lisondra (development proposals) on or before 29
February 2016.
Deadline of submission is on 29 February 2016.
