The Peterborough Power Basketball Association is pleased to announce the formation of
the Power Youth Basketball Scholarship. This scholarship seeks to recognize the youth in
our club who demonstrate:
• a commitment to the sport of basketball
• the development of leadership skills
• are pursuing post secondary education
There will be a minimum of two and a maximum of four scholarships awarded per year.
Each scholarship granted will be $500. Youth applying for this scholarship must:
• be attending a college or university the following school year,
• have participated in the PYBA house league or Power Rep program at some point
• volunteered within the PYBA house league program as either a coach, assistant
coach or Junior official
Youth interested in the Power Youth Basketball Scholarship are invited to apply by
writing a one page letter outlining why they should be considered for this scholarship.
Letters must be received no later then Friday, May 12, 2017. The scholarship recipients
will be announced and awarded at the Peterborough Power Annual Banquet on
Wednesday May 31st, 2017.
