 OYFL “ House Rules” The Court: Basketball c ourt s ide and end lines. 3­point line represents goalie z one. The Ball: All games will use low­bounce Futsal game balls, s izes 3 (U8­U12) or 4 (U13­U18). League will provide 3 balls/side for warmups. Home team responsible for providing game ball. Substitutions: Unlimited and do not require s toppage. All players m ust enter/exit at m id c ourt. Kick Ins: Ball m ust be placed at exit location or in the c orner, and m ust be kicked (no throw ins). Keepers: No drop kicks (must toss, roll, or kick from the ground). Players m ay receive keeper toss/pass inside goal z one. Keepers CAN toss over the half c ourt line, but not into the other goal zone (becomes opposing keeper’s ball). Unlimited Pass­backs (must be played with feet). Place Kicks: O ut of bounds and obstruction c alls result in indirect kicks. Physical infractions result in direct kicks. Defensive walls are permitted for all place kicks other than penalty s hots. 4 Second Rule: Place kicks and goalie decisions m ust be m ade in 4 s ec (Referee’s c ount). 5 M eter Rule: Defending players m ust remain 5m from goalie throws and place kicks. Play Clock: Games c onsist of 2 x 24 m inute halves (running c lock), and a 3 m inute halftime. Home/Away: Home team to wear lighter c olors. If Home team c omplies and there is a c onflict, visiting team c hanges jerseys. If home team does not wear light/white and there is a c onflict, home team m ust c hange. Visiting team kicks off first. 7­Goal Limit: A team c annot lead a game by m ore than 7 goals (leading team’s s core is frozen until after opponent s cores). Coaches/Managers Roster Cards: Coaches m ust c arry at all times. O nly players who have paid US Youth Futsal registration fee will be rostered. Referee m ay c heck roster c ards prior to game. Scorecards: Referees will s ign printed s corecard for each game. If a c oach c ontests the score at the end of a m atch, both c oaches c onsult/settle with referee post­match.
