budding entrepreneur the chance to win a shop unit in the Coventry-based shopping centre for 12
months! You’ll be joining high street favourites including Caffe Nero, H&M, Next, New Look, Pandora,
TheEntertainer,aswellassomegreatindependentretailers.
ThePrize
• AlicencetooccupyUnit1SherbourneArcade,LowerPrecinctCoventryfor12monthsrent
free,withnoliabilityforrates(pleasenote:youwill,however,beliableforyourownservice
chargeandinsurance)
• Designandprintofashopsigntowelcomeyoutothecentre,aswellasprintingofrelevant
marketingmaterialstosupportthelaunch
• 12monthsmarketingsupportviaLowerPrecinctCoventry’smarketingchannels
• A one-to-one marketing session from local agency, EAST VILLAGE. about getting the word

This competition is open to new businesses only (sole traders and limited companies, registered on
Companies House) less than two years old. Applications will not be considered from any business that

• Applications will not be considered from any business that has previously applied to Lower
PrecinctCoventryasatemporaryorpermanentlet.
• Applications will also not be considered from any businesses subject to liquidation or
bankruptcy.
• TheshopunitisUnit1SherbourneArcadeatLowerPrecinctCoventry.
• Theprizeincludes12monthsfreerentbutthewinnerwillberesponsibleforpayingtheirown
service charge, utilities and insurance. For the period 01/09/15 to 29/09/16, the insurance
chargewas£159.64andservicechargewas£4,887.27.Insurancecostissubjecttochangeafter
29/09/16andservicechargeissubjecttochangefrom01/01/17.
• TheratesfortheunitwillbepaidforbythelandlordofLowerPrecinctCoventry.
• Applications will be reviewed by a judging panel, with three shortlisted to present a business
plan
• TheLandlordreservestherighttowithdrawthecompetitionatanytimeandwithoutnoticeat
itsabsolutediscretion
