Actually there is more than one way to write a paragraph of contrast. However, perhaps the easiest way to start the paragraph of contrast is with a topic sentence stating that two things are different. Then the first product, person, or organization compared is written about. After that the second product, person, or organization is described. Finally the conclusion can be given as the last sentence of the paragraph. The following is the outline of the paragraph of contrast. Outline of a Paragraph of Contrast Topic Sentence (A sentence stating that two things are different) Details of one of the two things being contrasted 6 Details of the other thing being contrasted Last sentence as a conclusion (Optional) Signal words usually used in paragraph of contrast are: ‘However,……..’ ‘On the other hand,…..’ ‘On the contrary,…….’ In contrast,…….’ Example Export activities may take different forms, including indirect exporting and direct exporting. Most of indirect exporting activities do not provide the firm much experience in conducting international business since the activities are not part of conscious 7 internationalization strategy by the firm. Indirect exporting may occur when a firm sells its product to a domestic customer who exports the product in either its original form or a modified form. A firm may also sell goods to a foreign firm’s local subsidiary who transports the products to the foreign country. On the other hand, through direct exporting, the firm gains valuable expertise about operating internationally and specific knowledge concerning the individual countries in which it operates. Direct exporting involves sales to customers-either distributors or end-users-located outside the firm’s home country. 6 6_6_1_2 Task 7.1 - _____A. _____B. ___1_C. _____D. _____E. _____F. แบบฝึ กหัด 6_6_1_2 Task 7.1 แบบฝึ กหัดใช้ mouse คลิกเพื่อเติมคาตอบในแต่ละข้ อตา มคาสัง่ ตาม Text 1 Text 1. A commercial invoice is issued after the goods are placed on a carrier such as a ship. A proforma invoice is sent to the importer after the importer agrees with the prices and conditions quoted in the price quotation by the exporter. Although a proforma invoice and a commercial invoice are important documents in import and export, they are different in many ways. Proforma invoice and commercial invoice have different functions in the import and export operation. The importer uses the proforma invoice to apply for an L/C if the payment method is agreed on. The exporter collects all documents stated in the L/C including a commercial invoice to get money from the bank as payment for the goods sent to the importer. 8 7 6_6_3 VDO: Asking for More Discount 8 6_6_3_1 VDO Task 1 หัวข้ อ - VDO 6_6_3 VDO: Asking for More Discount - 6_6_3_1 Task 8.1 เนื ้อหาในส่วนนี ้จะเป็ น VDO เรื่ อง Asking for More Discount หลังจากดู VDO เสร็ จจะมี แบบฝึ กหัด ส่วนแบบฝึ กหัดนัน้ ใช้ mouse คลิกเพื่อเติมคาตอบในแต่ละข้ อตา มคาสัง่ ตาม Text 1 Text 1.
