The Medicaid Buy-In program has made great strides in achieving MIG goals – Determinants of employment, earnings and expenditures among Buy-In participants are better understood Based on evolution in MIG eligibility categories, states have made improvements to PAS State interest in MIG has been sustained since 2001 What’s Left to Learn? Current measures do not capture all aspects of MIG performance or outcomes As MIGs evolve, focus is shifted away from Buy-In implementation to a variety of other activities – How to better measure expansion of PAS, benefits counseling, and other system-level changes? Efforts underway to modify reporting system to better capture diverse and evolving MIG activities
