Viewing from second floor available Parents can buy a YMCA day pass and work out while they watch or may assist with officiating to get the best view of the races. SANCTIONED BY SWIM ONTARIO. o All current Swimming/Natation Canada rules will be followed o Events may be combined boys and girls at the discretion of the meet manager o Entry numbers will be limited at the discretion of the Meet Manager ELIGIBILITY All competitive swimmers registered with Swim Ontario, SNC, USS or FINA... Ages submitted are to be as of Nov. 8, 2015 No pre-requisites The only meet package that is considered valid is the most current one located at www.swimming.ca ENTRIES: Procedure: FEES: Entries must be in Hy-Tek format and submitted through www.swimming.ca No entries will be accepted directly by meet management. All entries received shall be SC times. Converted LC times will be accepted. Entry restrictions will be in effect to ensure sessions run approximately four hours. All events are timed finals and will be seeded slowest to fastest. Cancellation of heats/events at the discretion of the meet manager - $8/ individual event Cheque is payable to: Upper Canada Swim Club. Payment prior to start of meet. ENTRY DEADLINE: Must be received by Sunday Nov. 1, 2015 – NO LATE ENTRIES ACCEPTED. Entries will be accepted in order received. DECK ENTRIES and SCRATCHES: Scratches will be accepted by clerk of course up to 30 minutes prior to the start of the session Deck entries will be considered in empty lanes or lanes available due to scratches at the discretion of the Clerk of Course. Fee for deck entry will be $10/event. Lane assignment will only be given once payment is received. AGE GROUPS: 10&under, 11/12,13/14,15&over Girls 10 & under 11/12, 13/14, 15&over Boys AWARDS: Ribbons for 1st to 6th place in all age categories No scoring SPLIT TIMES: The procedure for obtaining an 'Official Split' now requires that coaches make the request to the session referee or meet management on the “Official Split Request” form prior to the race. The split for the lead-off leg in relays will still be regarded as an official split and therefore no request by coaches is needed for relays. However, in the new 'mixed gender' relays, lead-off times/splits are not considered “official splits' as per international practice. Meet management requires that any coach wishing to rely on a time achieved by the swimmer for an interval shorter than the total distance of the event shall so advise the Referee prior to the commencement of the session (or event) in question. RULES/SAFETY: SNC rules will apply Warm up times may be divided according to entry numbers SNC warm up competition safety procedures will be in effect at this meet. Please read and adhere to the safety procedures posted Swimming in an orderly manner is required. No fins allowed Horseplay is strictly prohibited. Lane 6 will be available for starts 15 minutes before the end of warm up. PRIVACY: Cameras and recording devices are not permitted on the pool deck or the vicinity of the locker room area at any time during the meet. Meet management reserves the right to remove any person from the meet not adhering to the meet rules. Any questions, please contact the meet management. PHOTOGRAPHER: Due to the restrictions stated above, and for the safety of all swimmers, should a team have a club photographer, we ask that you please pre-register and get approval from meet management. Swim Suit Rules SNC POLICY ON SWIMWEAR Effective September 1, 2009, all swimwear worn in swimming competitions sanctioned under the authority of Swimming Canada must conform to the January 1, 2010 FINA swimwear approval guidelines as listed below. MATERIAL – The material of swimwear will definitively be constituted only by textile fabric(s). The FINA definition of “textile” currently is: “Material consisting of, natural and/or synthetic, individual and nonconsolidated yarns used to constitute a fabric by weaving, knitting, and/or braiding.” SHAPE – MEN: swimwear shall not extend above the navel or below the knee. WOMEN: swimwear shall not cover the neck, extend past the shoulder, nor extend below knee. No zippers or other fastening system is allowed. USE – Swimmers shall wear only one swimsuit, taping is not permitted. CONSISTENCY – Swimwear effectively manufactured and used shall correspond to and be fully consistent with FINA approved samples. Any modification before use (including impregnation) is prohibited. Moreover, there shall be no variation/modification for individual swimmers. OFFICIALS: SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: We extend the invitation to participating clubs to assist in the staffing of the meet with officials. Please email [email protected] with your position requested. Please advise the referee if an evaluation is required for a position. Session 1 Sunday am Warm Ups 7:30 Start 8:30 am Meet management reserves the right to expand meet into two sessions (divided by age groups), depending on number of entries, in order to ensure that no session extends beyond 4 hours. MEET RESULTS: The meet program will be run on Hy-Tek Meet Manager.
