47th Annual Leaders in Management Award Dinner April 29, 2010 On Thursday, April 29, Pace University hosted the 47th Annual Leaders in Management Award (LIM) Dinner at Cipriani Wall Street. The event brought together distinguished Pace alumni, business luminaries and supporters of the University to celebrate the achievement of the $100 million It’s Time Centennial Campaign goal two months ahead of schedule. The dinner was the highest grossing in its 47-year history and raised $605,000 in support of the Student Scholarship Program, special projects selected by the President and general University purposes. More than 300 Pace alumni, students, and friends gathered to honor David J. Pecker ’72, Pace University Trustee and chairman and CEO of American Media, Inc., and Gurbaksh Chahal, founder, chairman, and CEO of gWallet, Inc. and, according to Oprah Winfrey, the “youngest billionaire on the planet Earth.“ Both Pecker and Chahal are industry leaders whose work has transformed the traditional and digital media landscapes. Maria Bartiromo, anchor of CNBC’s “Closing Bell with Maria Bartiromo,” served as mistress of ceremonies. Special guests included Donald J. Trump, who introduced his long-time friend David Pecker, television personality Montel Williams, ESPN NFL Analyst Tim Hasselbeck and his wife Elisabeth Hasselbeck, co-host of “The View.” View photos from this event!
