Bringing Together Students
with Common Interests
The first year of college is a time for students to discover new academic
and social environments, and explore their passions. As such, Pace
University’s Westchester Campus offers students opportunities to interact
with other students with common interests through First Year Interest
Groups (FIGs)–themed communities within residence halls that bring
together students with a shared interest.
FIGs
Each FIG has a dedicated faculty member and
resident assistant to help the program both best
cater to its theme and connect students to the
University. Students are invited to participate in all
programming associated with the FIGs.
Body and Mind (BAM): Takes a holistic approach to a healthy life,
including yoga sessions, healthy eating classes, relaxation techniques,
and spiritual development.
Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities (CEO): A perfect fit for those
go-getters and self-starters interested in changing the world through
business and innovation.
Extreme Sports and Pace Nation (ESPN): Engages students who love
to stay active and display their Setter pride.
Honors: A chance for students in our Pforzheimer Honors College
to live and learn together, alongside upperclassmen honors mentors.
Nursing: Creates out-of-the-classroom experiences to engage residents
in the healthcare field.
Pop Culture and Media: Residents in this FIG examine careers
in communications and explore pop culture through celebrities,
movies, music, and art.
Setters Leadership House: For students interested in service
and leadership—ideal for those looking to get involved on campus.

The Office of Residential Life is committed to the education and
development of all students into responsible, well-rounded, and
self-reliant individuals. For optimal development to occur, we will
provide a balance of challenges and opportunities. By recognizing
each student as an individual, we will expose them to differences,
while revealing similarities, in order to facilitate a deeper
understanding of themselves and others.
