Included in CNM scholarship offerings are the CNM Legislative Scholarship, CNM General
Scholarship, CNM Daycare Scholarship, Advantage Scholarship, Graduation Incentive
Scholarship and the Career and Technical Scholarship. These scholarships are intended to help
students with the cost of attending CNM and encourage New Mexico residents to complete a
degree or certificate program at CNM.
Awards are distributed with consideration for the students program of study with the intent of
assisting students in the most useful way possible. Funds are awarded as students complete the
application and meet scholarships requirements. Funds are limited and vary each year.
Application:
Complete the CNM Scholarship Application online starting in February for the upcoming
academic year. It remains open as long as funds are available. Students eligible to complete a
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must also have a completed and packaged
Financial Aid record.
A new online application must be completed for each academic year.
Eligibility Requirements:




Admitted to CNM with a major that is financial aid eligible
Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
 cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or above
 completion rate of 66.67% or better
 be within maximum time frame (MTF)
Enroll in at least 6 credit hours each term of classes level 0750 higher
Be a New Mexico resident
Students unable to complete a FAFSA:
Students who are unable to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) can
be considered for CNM scholarships by completing the CNM Scholarship Application. CNM
offers state and institutional scholarships to New Mexico residents who do not have a Social
Security Number and are unable to complete a FAFSA. Other scholarship requirements remain
the same.
