Credit for Prior Learning – Nursing Assistant In order to receive Credit for Prior Learning (CPL), you will need to: Present a valid New Mexico CNA certificate and government issued photo ID to the CNM Records Office. Be currently enrolled at CNM as a certificate or degree seeking student. The Records Office awards Credit for Prior Learning for several licensures and certifications. Any state licenses or national certifications not accepted by the Records Office must be presented to the School of Health, Wellness and Public Safety for consideration of credit. If you are using transfer work to meet the general education coursework requirements, official transcripts must be on file at the CNM Records Office prior to submission of this form. Please note that, if you are using transfer work to meet degree requirements, you must still meet the CNM graduation residency requirement before being eligible to graduate.
