Q:
Is there any further narrative information available on the CNM master plan, aside

8. Q:
Will solar and wind power options be integrated into the power supply for the new

A:
CNM would like to explore the issue of solar and wind in a limited scale to serve as
a demonstration for students, for example exterior lighting on the entrance may use some
solar technology. It is the intent that the building will not use solar or wind power but CNM
will purchase renewable energy from PNM.
9. Q:
Is there a document which delineates the actual location of the 5 acres to be
surveyed?
A:
No. CNM has a general idea of the location but would like input from the Architect
as ideas are generated which may alter the location of the 5 acres.
10. Q:
Would CNM desire the architect to explore the issues of water harvesting and
sustainable landscape as part of the project?
A:
This possibility will depend on the LEED Checklist that will be developed with
CNM and the ability to meet the LEED Silver Certification.
11. Q:
In the Scope of Work section of the RFP, you describe a landscaping plan that will
“help guide students from the parking area to the corner intersection so that students can

corner of Basehart and University?
A: Yes, the intersection that is referred to in the RFP in the corner of Basehart and
University
12. Q:
Are there other landscape issues to be addressed that are campus-wide, and not just
confined to the area surrounding the former Data Center building?
A:
CNM would like the landscaping to compliment the other areas of the campus and
reinforce the recently constructed pedestrian fence that runs through the center of the
median.
13. Q:
Will the new bookstore continue to be run by the college, or will it be run by another
vendor with specific requirements?

operations of the bookstore.
