Addendum/Amendment #1 to P-301 step 2 “Construction Manager at Risk
Services for the Renovation of 4700 Alameda Project.”
This addendum becomes part of the Contract Documents.
Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of this Addendum in the space provided on the
RFP Form SECTION A: Signature of Firms Authorized Representative.
1) The rfp deadline has been extended to Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 3:00pm local time.
2) Q:
(a) Do you have a specified general conditions matrix that you could issue to verify
that all bidders are proposing on the same general conditions costs?
(b)
If no, do you want the specified general condition number to include the full
performance and payment bond cost for the project?
(c)
Also, do you want the specified general condition number to include builder’s risk
and general liability insurance costs for the project. If it is to include Builder’s Risk, are we
to include a full Builder’s Risk policy or just a difference in coverage policy?
1) A:
(a) We do not have a specified matrix however CNM asked that all costs that are not
direct cost to construction (which would be on the bids received from the subcontractors) be
included.
(b) Performance and payment bond costs and liability insurance should be included.
Most offerors describe these costs as a separate fee.
(c) CNM carry Builder’s Risk for the project however the contractor will be liable
for the deductible amount up to $15,000.00 per draft document AIA201, section
11.1.4.4.
2) Attached is the check set in draft form.
