Amendment #1 to T-2772 “CNM’s Westside Phase I Data Center”
This amendment becomes part of the Contract Documents and modifies the original bidding
documents as noted below:
1. Question: Will the general contractor be required to possess both a GB 98 and a MM 98 license?
2. Answer: No, at a minimum, the General Contractor will need to have the GB 98. However, the
General Contractor or one of their subcontractors must possess an MM 98.
3. Question: To revisit the Westside Phase I Data Center location who do we contact?
4. Answer: CNM Project Manager Ray Barela at [email protected] 505 224-4574.
5. Questions: Is this project already funded?
6. Answer: Yes
7. Question: Will this Bid T-2772 be extended?
8. Answer: Yes, the bid will be extended through December 3, 2009 at 3:00PM local time.
9. Reference attached Pre-Bid sign in sheet.
10. Reference attached Soils Report for Phase I Building. See note below regarding impact of
receiving this soil report from Structural Engineer:
On sheet S1.0 revise the Foundation Notes item A. Revise the 2500 Psf to read 1500 Psf.

On sheet S1.1 add the following Notes:
General Notes:
1. Over-excavate under the west and south foundations of the new building for a depth of
4’-0” below the bottom of the footing, extending a minimum of 2’-0” left and right of the
footing. Taper slope to bottom of existing footings as required. Scarify exposed surface
and compact to 95% relative density. Backfill with existing soils and compact to 95%
relative compaction.
2. Over-excavate under the floor slab of the new building, the mechanical equipment area
slab, and the generator pad to a depth of 2’-0” below bottom of slab. Scarify exposed
surface and compact to 95% relative density. Backfill with existing soils and compact to
95% relative compaction.
3. The interior face of the west and south footing shall be revised to be a vertical formed
surface to the finished floor level. The slab shall abut the side of the footing with a ½”
expansion material and joint sealant. The north and east wall foundations shall remain
as detailed.
All other specifications, terms and conditions remain unchanged. Bidders are required to
acknowledge receipt of this Amendment in the space provided on Section 00200-1.
