Shielded Plenum Speaker cable and connectivity to all active VGA or Video signals
Six (6) existing CNM supplied 8” Wire Mold Floor pockets to contain the following control functions:
East/Front Floor Pockets (2) shall contain VGA/Composite/Power LIBERTY P/N PCG1640EPC RJ-45 Dual
Pass Through. Their purpose is to provide a signal to the two LCD Monitors to support their use as
presentation monitors for panel members facing west from the wall-mounted screen.
The remaining four (4) 8” Wire Mold floor pockets shall contain a custom fit KRAMER WAV5T plate
containing the following components: 2 x VGA/3.5mm audio/RCA audio/RCA-Component Video inputs.
These shall be routable to the ceiling mounted projector through the use of the CRESTRON MPS300
Multimedia Presentation System.
The principle CRESTRON unit (CRESTRON MPS300) shall be rack mounted in the storage closet located
on the south side of the facility (see attached plan). The podium shall contain a CRESTRON TPMC8X
wireless touch panel that will enable signal output from devices located in the podium. The audio shall
follow the selected source through the CRESTRON system to the ceiling mounted speakers.
The vendor shall be responsible for the fully operational installation of the listed systems and
components using all necessary and construction rated cables to include, but not limited to: CRESTRON
CRESCATQMPSP plenum Cat 5E Ethernet cable and plenum audio speaker cable.
Mobile Public Address system to include items as noted or equivalent:
• One (1) BEHRINGER P/N ZMX8210 8 Channel Audio Mixer + Amplifier or Equivalent

The mobile public address system shall have one location to output microphone and accessory audio.
# 1 - the audio mixer shall have a connection point to the ceiling mounted speakers through its primary
location in the storage closet located on the south side of the facility.
The installation of the mobile public address system must allow for full functionality of this system from
this location (storage closet).
The vendor shall provide all equipment and cabling required to enable these systems. The CNM network
and electrical cabling shall be the responsibility of CNM. Computer(s) shall be supplied by CNM.
The vendor shall be responsible for providing a final system design that meets CNM specifications and
achieves the desired functionality. The selected vendor shall be responsible for completed integration
and installation. The awarded vendor shall test and demonstrate to CNM Instructional Media Resources
Staff full system functionality.
The vendor’s response to system or individual component failure is the next business day after
notification by CNM of any technical issue. On site response, component replacement or repair is
required by end of business the next day.
CNM reserves the right to accept or reject the installed systems based on demonstrated functionality.
CNM strongly recommends that Vendors attend the Q&A/site survey meeting scheduled on July 26,
2010. Refer CNM Terms and conditions,

SITE FAMILIARITY. The contractor shall be responsible for thoroughly inspecting the
site and work to be done prior to submitting a bid. The contractor warrants by this submission
that he/she has thoroughly inspected the site and work to be done and that his/her offer
includes all costs required to complete the work. The failure of the contractor to be fully
informed regarding the requirements of this Invitation will not constitute grounds for any claim,
demand for adjustment or the withdrawal of a bid after the opening.

SITE INSPECTION. The site(s) referenced in this document are available for inspection.
Note, bidders shall not consider any comments made by employees of CNM to be modifications
to the bid specifications unless distributed as a written amendment to this bid by CNM’s
Purchasing Department. All requests for clarification must be submitted in writing to CNM’s
Purchasing Department to receive consideration. Such requests must be submitted no later
than five (5) days prior to the bid due date.
