Anything less than full compatibility will not be allowed due to the necessity of maintaining equal standards of education between both campuses. • Components to service 80 separate learning stations. • Must be compatible with METI, Laerdal, Gaumard, and other high fidelity simulators. Integrated educational platform that brings together all aspects of experiential learning to optimize the health care provider learning experience. System must provide a fully integrated, scalable, and adaptable solution for complete integration of all activities around experiential learning. The system is to be an audio-video system complete with cameras, microphones and software that permit real-time viewing of learners or teams performing various skills and educational tasks. The software shall be real-time physiologic data and event logging superimposed on the video display for immediate and detailed feedback of the procedures performed plus the patient parameters and responses to the clinical interventions for select simulators. Web-based application that integrates educational content and assessment instruments for individual and team performance described within CNM’s curriculum. The annotation, bookmarking and evaluation features to interpret the files of certain simulators to present the simulator event log and a trend chart of physiological data based on data captured by the simulators. • Allow for digital video recording with integrated archival, retrieval, and live monitoring capabilities, as well as have permissions-based streaming review for learners, faculty, and staff from any computer with high speed web access. Provide the most comprehensive integration with of *patient simulators, as well as provides an interface for integration with other platforms *(e.g. standardized patients, task trainers, etc.) and traditional Learning Management Systems. • Compatible with other high fidelity simulators *(e.g. METI, Laerdal, Gaumard, etc.) o Integration with audio/visual systems. o Provide sophisticated recordings of patient simulators. Requirements for Clinical Skills and Simulation Center Management Solution • System shall be able to manage evaluation questionnaires, user accounts and events. • Full text search based question, section and case reuse features are required. • System shall control recording from various digital recording devices, including Pan/Tilt/Zoom network cameras. • System shall use Cat5 wiring only from exam rooms to central location. • Recording process shall be able to start and stop by user actions, like opening or submitting a questionnaire or by exact time. • Recording shall be generated with metadata automatically attached to it. • System shall provide tools for locating recordings based on attached metadata, comments, event and case name, regardless of recording date and time. • System shall enable privileged users to set report availability per event, per report basis both for faculty and learners as well as setting a time limit for report access to learners. • System must provide both automated and fully manual scheduling; schedule modification shall be possible during the scheduled event. • System shall have the ability to set score weighting across cases for one overall skill area score independently from weighting of skill area scores within one case for overall case score. • System shall provide integrated computer-to-computer intercom system with timed pre-recorded announcement feature. All rights reserved. 4 remotely from the simulation rooms and housed in CNM’s established Data Center. o • • • • Proximity to JS & S Buildings – The maximum distance by way of single mode optical fiber paths from CNM’s primary data facility to the JS and S buildings where the simulation equipment will be installed does not exceed 1,700 feet. Vendor shall provide 19” rack mount servers with rails to accommodate square hole rack installation and cool/hot aisle airflow. Non-rack mount server configurations are unacceptable. Vendor provided equipment racks for equipment that is to be housed in the Data Center are not acceptable. All required Data Center enclosures shall be provided by CNM. If required by the vendor CNM can provide dedicated, adjacent and secure equipment enclosures within the Data Center. • Physical access to equipment housed in CNM’s Data Center shall be scheduled in advance or in the event of an emergency access may be obtained by following CNM/ITS Emergency On-Call Procedures. • Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS) or other power protection equipment is not required for Data Center installations as all power is pre-conditioned and has both UPS and generator backup. • CNM will work with the vendor to determine the optimal equipment placement within the Data Center in order to distribute both heat and power loads. • The Vendor shall identify any fiber connectors and cable types that will be required for Data Center installation. • The Vendor shall identify all network, firewall and VLAN requirements as part of the bid response by the vendor. If any vendor requirements are of concern or cannot provided by CNM, CNM will work with the vendor to identify and implement mutually agreeable alternatives where possible. • Servers, storage equipment and appliances containing data storage devices shall not be installed in TRs. In order to provide higher availability and security such equipment shall be installed within CNM’s designated Data Centers. All rights reserved. 5 • CNM strongly discourages placement of server and data storage devices in instructional areas. CNM cannot ensure security, and environmental conditions to ensure high availability for these types of systems outside of the Data Centers controlled environment. • All vendor installed cabling must comply with all applicable building codes and meet CNM CISM requirements. The vendor shall identify any cabling requirements and cabling pathways that are require to deliver an operation simulation environment as part of the bid response. In the event CNM is responsible for provisioning or installation of cable infrastructure installation time and material availability must be factored into vendor product delivery schedules. CNM will provide patch cables not to exceed 21 feet in length for all devices directly connected to CNM’s communications network. • • • The vendor shall identify any fiber cabling requirements as part of the bid response. • The vendor shall identify all VLAN and IP addressing requirements as part of the bid response. CNM will work with the vendor to accommodate such requirements where possible. • CNM desires the capability of integration with the existing medical simulation environment currently deployed at CNM’s Rio Rancho campus. In addition it is CNM’s intention that all campus locations have the capability of accessing the compiled simulations that would be produced as part of instructional exercises.
