SUBJECT:
Amendment/Addendum #1 to T-2900 “Dust Control and Parking Barriers for
Westside Campus”.
This addendum becomes part of the Contract Documents.
Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum in the space provided on
page 10, Section E.1.
Changes, Additions and Clarifications as follows:
Question: What is the existing static pressure?
Answer: 65 lbs
Question: What is the water pressure?
Answer: 65lbs
Question: What size pipe (diameter) is to be used for the irrigation/sprinkler system?
Answer: 1 inch and 1-1/2 inch
Question: What schedule pipe is to be used for the irrigation/sprinkler system?
Answer: Vendor’s choice
Question: How many feet of pipe are to be used for the irrigation/sprinkler system?
Answer: Will depend on which size sprinkler you use to cover the desired are for dust
control
Question: How many independent circuits are desired for the entire irrigation/sprinkler
system?
Answer: That will be determined on size of sprinkler you use to cover the area for dust
control
Question: Is the new system tying into and existing system?
Answer: Yes it is tied into an existing system. There are two lines to be use a 1” and a 1
½” line for tie in.
Question: What type of valves, timers, heads (coverage, spread, width, etc.), pipe size(s)
and back flow prevention, etc.
Answer: You can use PVC or poly any size you need to complete the job
Question: Concerns regarding the accuracy of the square footage
Answer: 142,624. There are road ways that get used in the same area
Question: What maintenance or warranty do you require as a minimum?

Answer: One year for the Irrigation only
Question: Clarification on the placement of the boulders, spacing, depth and use of
weed fabric.
Answer: Boulders were to be placed about 5 feet apart on the ground, a weed barrier to
be placed under each boulder and the gravel placed back around each.
Question: What are the requirements for the silt fencing? Types of posts, post spacing?
Answer: The silt fabric is to be hung on the existing fence. The panels should be 6’ x 50’
long green in color with quick ties to hang the fabric on the fence
Question: What types of irrigation heads are required, brand and model
Answer: The irrigation is for dust control. No brands are required or model Contractor
choice
Question: Are swing joints required?
Answer: No swing joints are required
Question: What size valves are required?
Answer: Whatever size need to set up the irrigation system
Clarifications:
• Sprinkler systems also require a MM1 and/or MS06 license.
• CID permitting maybe required by the contractor, this is the contractor’s
responsibility.
• Insurance is required no matter what the dollar amount.
Reference attached non-mandatory meeting sign in sheet.
