Eligibility Requirements: РHave proof of ACT score of 25 or above, or in the top 5% of their high school graduating class either junior or senior year РHave a total combined family income of less than $30,000 ($40,000 if two family members are in college) РUnder 22 years of age РEnrolled for a minimum of 12 credit hours РAdmitted to CNM with a financial aid eligible major РCitizen of the United States or a or an eligible non-citizen РResident of New Mexico РHave completed a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) How to Apply: Turn in New Mexico Scholars Application along with high school transcripts indicating class rank, or official ACT scores to Financial Aid and Scholarship Services in the Student Services building at CNM’s main campus. Please contact the scholarships office at 2243140 with any questions. Duration of Eligibility: A New Mexico Scholars award may be re-awarded to a student who maintains satisfactory academic progress as defined in the CNM scholarship policy and stays enrolled for consecutive academic years. An award recipient may use the award for no more than two years at a two-year institute. The scholarship may be renewed at a four-year institute for additional two years; in no case shall a student receive more than four annual awards. Each scholarship is awarded for a period of one academic year.
