Process Health Check - Scoring Criteria

Reviewing Process health
The scoring criteria assist the workshop participants in discussing an appropriate score when evaluating the health of a process. The scoring criteria should
be in front of each participant when collecting scores for processes. This facilitates scoring in a limited timeframe and provides a reference for the analyst
when documenting the outcomes of the scoring exercise.
The typical process followed in scoring the health of processes in a particular area was to familiarise the participants with the scoring mechanism prior to
the session. Allow a round table discussion on each process before inviting scores from the group. Then a final summarisation of the scores and invitations
to the group to add qualifying remarks. The table hereunder is a guideline only. The questions and the scoring criteria will change depending on the
organisation and on the analysis mode.
Scoring is typically captured on spreadsheet to facilitate further analysis and graphical representation of scores across a process and/or a process domain.
