 Welcome: Introduce the selection committee members (names and titles)
 Provide a brief overview of the position and the workplace including where the position fits into the School/Unit etc, how many people
are in the team and any resources, constraints or challenges that may apply to the job , the conditions of the position (e.g. Hours per
week, campus)
 Outline the format of the interview and explain that notes will be taken during the interview
 Advise the applicant
 to seek clarification or request the question be repeated when they are unsure of what is being asked
 there will be time for questions at the end of the interview.
