The Department of Media, Communications, and Visual Arts on Pace University’s

Kate Corcodilos graduated from
Pace University in 2007 with a BA
in Media and Communication Arts.
That summer she began her career
as a casting assistant for the NBC
show 30 Rock, where she interned
during her last semester at Pace.
When the writer’s strike hit, Kate
joined As The World Turns as a

cancellation of the show in 2010,
Kate decided to make the big move

NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES
Michelle Birch graduated from
Pace University with a BA in
Communications in 2011 and a
MA in Media and Communication
Arts in 2013. While at Pace, she
achieved a great deal. Michelle
received a grant to produce a
fundraising video for “Frankie’s
Mission,” a non-profit organization.
Her video was a success and
prompted Toyota
to donate
$5,000 to the organization. As
an undergrad, Michelle held
two important internships; one
at NBC, working on shows such as
Nightly News with Brian Williams
and The Today Show and the other
internship was at CNN helping produce
profiles pieces about everyday
people changing the world. The
internship at CNN eventually led
to a freelance position. Currently
Michelle is a production assistant
at NBC Sports for the show, Pro
Football Talk.
Students on the Pace PLV campus may be eligible to join the Mu Iota Chapter of
Lambda Pi Eta (LPH), a student organization of the National Communication
Association. Lambda Pi Eta, and the Media, Communications, and Visual Arts
department host an annual networking event, Connections in Communications,
to bring together professionals in the field with current undergraduate majors. This
