Our combined Biology and Environmental Science degree program prepares you to be on the cutting edge of these critically important fields. In just five years, you can earn two degrees – a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Science in Environmental Science. With two degrees you not only have the credentials to become a leader in the field, but you will also have the education and experience to help solve the pressing environmental problems of today and tomorrow. In total, the combined degree program consists of approximately 150 credits. Students are required to complete the necessary undergraduate core, major and open elective credits in addition to the 33-35 required and elective credits in the Master of Science in Environmental Science program. Provided you have the necessary prerequisites, graduate level elective courses are taken in place of some required undergraduate electives. This enables full-time students to save one year of full-time study. You can apply for our five-year program anytime during your freshman, sophomore and junior years, and after completion of at least 64 undergraduate credits and all major biology courses. You must have a cumulative QPA of 3.0 and a GPA of 3.0 in biology courses.
