This proactive maintenance package improves risk management, helps resolve problems quickly, and reduce operating expenses. Using information from a secure discovery of Cisco products and correlating it with Cisco's intellectual capital and product expertise, Smart Net Total Care delivers actionable intelligence, relevant recommendations and information, and proactive support capabilities that reduce operating costs and minimize downtime. New and Changed Information This release contains new features that will improve the customer experience and usability of the information SNTC provides. Workflow Optimization and Usability • • • Service Coverage Management – We have added the ability for the customer admin to document and annotate devices that do not require service coverage. This allows the customer to focus on the devices that need coverage renewal. The documented reasons are included in the offline Contract Management Report. Contract Management Report Enhancements – Several changes have been made to improve the usability of the report. One Click Access to Service Requests – In the portal, users can quickly view the Service Requests they created. Role-based Access Control • • • Delegation of Alert Management – We have enabled the customer admin to grant other users the ability to manage alerts. Delegation of Service Coverage Management – We have enabled the customer admin to grant other users the ability to perform service coverage management tasks. LOA Access Control – Letter of Authorization (LOA) control allows the customer administrator to grant a preferred partner access to additional data for Cisco Branded contracts where the partner is not the designated bill-to. Custom Inventory o Service Program column added to the following sheet: Custom Inventory 4 Release Notes for SNTC 1.13.1 CISCO SYSTEMS Collector Versions supported with SNTC This section covers the versions for both the: • Hardware Collector Appliance: • Software Collector Appliance: Note: The SNTC portal has training material available for both appliance versions, and also has a link to the Software Collector Appliance download center. Hardware Collector Appliance: The following versions of Collector Software are certified with SNTC 1.13: • CSPC 2.2 + DPA 1.3 • CNC 6.3 • CSPC 2.1 T1 + DPA 1.3 • CSPC 2.3.1.1 + RP 3.17 (with the Cisco UCS M3 (C220) platform) Software Collector Appliance: The following versions of Collector Software are certified with SNTC 1.13: • CSPC 2.2 + DPA 1.3 with the VMware ESXi(5.7) platform • CSPC 2.3.1.1 + RP 3.17 with Microsoft Hyper-V (Windows Server 2008 [R2] Standard) platform • CSPC 2.3.1.1 + RP 3.17 with the VMware ESXi(5.7) platform As with prior releases, CSPC continues to be compatible for both SNTC and NOS. Note: From CSPC 2.3.1 release, DPA and NOS add-ons are embedded with the CSPC collector, so individual versions are not applicable. 5 ` Release Notes for SNTC 1.13.1 CISCO SYSTEMS Resolved Defects The following defects are fixed, closed , and verified: Table 1 Customer Facing Fixed Defects SNTC 1.13.1 CSCuj81387 y Problem: Online help was missing for Contract Insight Reports. Fix: Online help is now updated. CSCum36511 y Problem: The Delta Report was showing changed network address and duplicate serial numbers for a few card devices. Fix: The issue is fixed and the Delta Report is showing correct information. CSCun78493 y Problem: The dashboard expiring coverage tab was showing incorrect device count details. Fix: The dashboard is now showing correct device count details. CSCun80406 y Problem: There was a discrepancy in online and offline delta reports. Fix: The discrepancy is now modified and the issue is now fixed. CSCun93460 y Problem: An exception occurred when loading the Product Alert Category view in portal. Fix: The issue is fixed and Product Alert Category view is now loaded properly. CSCun95225 y Problem: An error occurred when using Replace Contract in the portal. Fix: The issue is fixed and the Replace Contract is working properly. CSCuo00461 y Problem: The Filter operation in Inventory Delta reports was not working properly for Add/Delete category. Fix: Correct message is properly rendered. CSCuo11499 y CSCun70697 Problem: Same serial number was added and deleted in the offline Inventory Delta report. Fix: The issue is now fixed and the serial number is not introduced in the Inventory Delta report. CSCuo38974 y Problem: An error occurred when generating the custom Inventory Report. Fix: The custom Inventory Report is now available. CSCuo43491 y Problem: The Collected PID was showing as “Not Available” in the portal. Fix: The issue is fixed by adding the collected PID to NS-OX devices. CSCuo59715 Y Problem: The collected PID was not profiled by Inventory and Reporting application. Fix: The collected PID is now profiled by Inventory and Reporting application. CSCuo65580 y Problem: An error occurred when running the unmask data privacy macro in the inventory report. Fix: The error is now fixed and masking can now be removed in the inventory report. CSCuo84635 y Problem: The Inventory processing failed due to special character in the Inventory name. Fix: The covered item count in online contract pod now matches with covered item count in CMR. CSCup44094 y Problem: In some cases there could be coverage discrepancy between SNTC and CSCC.
