Attention will also be given to the social context of the communities to which Paul was writing, how that context shapes his approach, and how Paul’s firstcentury directives are often applied to theological conversations and controversies in our present day. Course evaluations will include one five-page paper, in-class presentations (both group and individual), short quizzes, a reflective journal, and class participation.
