Upgrades for CTS Systems
Your Custody Transfer System from Rosemount TankRadar can be upgraded in
numerous ways to increase efficiency and prolong the lifetime. This leaflet covers
the most frequent upgrades.
BRIDGE
Slave / redundancy workstation upgrade
Two workstations connected in a network providing a degree of fault tolerance for PC failure. Adding a backup workstation will add safety margin to
operation sustainability. This will reduce the risk of disturbance under normal
operation conditions due to a malfunctioning computer. It will also enable
multiple tank information read out at another display at another location.
CARGO CONTROL ROOM
Workstation upgrade
The workstation enables a convenient way to monitor the cargo tank data.
You will get access to all alarm settings, visible and audible. It will also be
possible to read out level, pressure, temperature, etc for each cargo tank.
New Interface connection
The TankRadar system can be connected to provide tank level, temp and pressure information to other onboard system, e.g. load calculators or automated
systems.
Also other systems can be connected to the TankRadar system making it
possible to present e.g. ballast tank information at the TankRadar workstation.
CTS SOFTWARE UPGRADES
Software upgrade can be performed at a time when convenient. Only software will be upgraded, the hardware is not affected. Calculation routines
are not modified and software version can be fully reverted back to current
version if needed. When filter function is turned off the system will behave
according to original settings.
Flexible cargo report system
Allow several different calculations setups of the cargo report.
Make the vessel viable for spot trading and frequent contract changes. New
report settings can be created and tailored to fit specific needs by operator.
E.g. You can set the number of decimals to be used for different parameters in
the presented report.
Tank Exclusion
Exclude an empty tank from the CTS calculations. Useful for vessels performing voyages with one or several tanks empty. The excluded tanks are not used
for the average volume calculations. All measurements are shown on the
certificates.
Filter for exposed berthing
Compensate rough sea conditions and get a stable and reliable gauging at
exposed berthing. When activated the level readings are filtered to stable
conditions. The accuracy is certified by all major 3rd party surveyors.

UPGRADE TO NETWORK PRINTER
Parallel port printers are getting closer to end of life situation. For smooth
printer change with short notice in future:
A network switch with related network cabling will be added to the system
and the system software will be set for the new configuration.
UPGRADE TO HANDLE ELECTRONIC BOX EQUIPMENT
For smoth printer change
This upgrade will make the version 2 type el-box compatible with all existing
CTS TankRadar systems. If you have an older version of el-box and need to
replace it with a spare part this upgrade is required.
DECK EQUIPMENT
Test Cable Calibration
Verification by means of Test Cables is a complete level measurement test.
The Test Cables are certified instruments and should be calibrated regularly.
Our recommendation is to calibrate them well in advance for every overhaul,
or at least every fifth year.
SERVICE AND OVERHAUL
For optimized smooth performance an overhaul of the CTS system is recommended. Our authorized service engineers will conduct a thorough overhaul
making sure the system performance is the same as when tankradar system
was new.
